The two missing American soldiers in Iraq...
Edited on Fri Jun-16-06 05:04 PM by TwoSparkles
I just read this story about the one US soldier killed at a checkpoint and two
others who are missing.

Does anyone know---does this mean that they might have been kidnapped?

My heart just completely sunk when I read this.

Since this was a shooting and not an explosion--it's unusual and frightening
that these soldiers are missing.

Link to earlier story about the incident--

1. That Is What The Presumption Must Be, Ma'am
Live caprive soldiers would be of great propaganda value to any insurgent faction; there must be people wracking their brains over how to manage the thing.

2. Missing soldiers
I have not seen to much news on this only little snippets. the media is still talking about this BULLSHIT!!bounce in the polls for Bush. wouldn't it be ironic that Bush and the media are talking about happy times in Iraq and we have soldiers missing and possibly captured by insurgents.

3. Until I hear otherwise
I'm going to hope they took off and hid out.
They might be held hostage, I hope not. If they are I hope they are treated OK. Some hostages have been, but I know they were not soldiers.

4. Likely involved in a firefight they may have moved to cover and
were pushed deeper from their post. If they keep cool and smart they could still come out of this ok.

5. Three at remote check point?
How is it that they make sitting ducks out of personnel by placing only THREE at any remote check point?
This is all a war zone!
Someone should be held responsible for these three and be judged for their being lost!
There is no area of Iraq or even Afghanistan that is secure enough to place three people alone in! If it can't be done correctly then it is way past time to get them out!

7. Missing for now...3 possibilities:
1) Already dead
2) Hiding somewhere, it is dark at night there
3) Alive and were kidnapped

8. How come no soldiers
decapitated or kidnapped until now? (No Zachwari) Was he working for Bush? The new guy might have some different methods.
