How long did it take for DeLay to quit his Majority Leader job?
Compared to how long it took for Jefferson who was recently stripped of his position on Ways and Means...

1. Big difference between Delay and Jefferson. . .
Delay had already been indicted.

Jefferson has yet to be indicted on anything.

2. I can sort of understand Jefferson being upset because he hasn't
been indicted, but told to get off the Committee anyway, but I have to admit, I've tried and tried to think of a reason he could have had marked cash in his freezer, and I can't think of any at all. Surely he has to understand that his fellow Dems are in a bad spot hanging the "culture of corruption" label on the Pubs if they ignore the mess he appears to be in.

3. I have a problem with the predictable double standard...
DeLay had to be indicted before he stepped aside, but Jefferson was stripped before congress with no indictment.

Jefferson is innocent until proven guilty in my eyes...the same with DeLay (even as much as I despise the man) If both are found guilty, they should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

It's the hypocrisy I despise.

4. Me too ` they may both be crooks but Jefferson should have had his day
in Court IMO.

I think he was working closely with the RepubliCONS that's why they were defending him.

I bet he knows where a lot of bones are buried. CON bones.
