Enron CEO Skilling says he considered suicide

All I can say is, if I defrauded thousands of people out of their jobs, savings, pensions, and retirements I would think of killing myself too out of sheer guilt.

Sadly, Jeffrey admits no responsibility even after his conviction on 19 counts and instead expects people to feel sorry for him because he had to retreat to his Houston mansion. No more multimillion dollar toys free of charge. No more exotic vacations paid for by your investors and employees. In short, no more criminal free ride. Boo Hoo Jeffrey. You ruined all those lives and we're supposed to feel sorry for you?

I hope the judge sentences him to 100 years in a Federal prison somewhere in northern Alaska.

2. I'm just delighted that he considered it.
I'm just so so impressed by that.

3. So, would that be "I'm clinically depressed" suicide or "I'm guilty as
hell" suicide?

Since he didn't actually do it, I think he might not be clinically depressed. So I'll lean towards the "I'm guilty" suicide -- if he's telling the truth.

Perhaps he's looking for sympathy of the "It's a Wonderful Life" variety. But I doubt there's going to be a Clarence who gets his wings by helping Jeffrey pay restitution to all the people who suffered because of a mistake that, uhm, wasn't Jeffrey's fault.

9. I think he really believes he did nothing wrong...
In my opinion, after reading his quotes in several articles, he thinks the entire world revolves around him. This guy thinks it was ok what they did.

These were just deals after all. Who cares who lost? These idiots complaining about losing their economic future? They wouldn't have had a job or a future if I hadn't hired them!

Pure god complex. Jeffrey is one sick puppy.

His biggest complaint? That we was too open and honest with the Feds. As if confessing to knowing what was going on meant he was still a good guy.

Hey! You caught us! Here's how we did it. Now can I go home now and pack for my trip to Tahiti? WTF! I'm under arrest? Don't you know who I am!

4. Should Read "If He Had A Heart He Would Have Considered Suicide"
since he basically is saying he didn't consider suicide because he doesn't believe he did anything wrong

6. If only he'd "considered" not being a pirate in a suit.
Or considered the suffering he was causing.
