Happy Birthday Paul Mc Cartney, now that you are 64 !
When I get older, losing my hair, many years from now,
Will you still be sending me a Valentine, birthday greetings, bottle of wine?
If I'd been out 'till quarter to three, would you lock the door?
Will you still need me, will you still feed me,
When I'm sixty-four?

Hmm------mmm---mmmh.
You'll be older, too. Aaah, and if you say the word, I could stay with you.

I could be handy, mending a fuse, when your lights have gone.
You can knit a sweater by the fireside, sunday mornings, go for a ride.
Doing the garden, digging the weeds, who could ask for more?
Will you still need me, will you still feed me, when I'm sixty four?

Every summer we can rent a cottage in the Isle of Wightif it's not too dear. We shall scrimp and save.
Ah, grandchildren on your knee, Vera, Chuck, and Dave.

Send me a postcard, drop me a line stating point of view.
Indicate precisely what you mean to say, yours sincerely wasting away.
Give me your answer, fill in a form, mine forever more.
Will you still need me, will you still feed me, when I'm sixty four?

1. My sister and I were talking about that song yesterday
We suspected it would be played non-stop worldwide for the next month or so. Birthday or not, I'll bet Sir Paul will regret ever participating in that one within the week...

2. I can't get that
tune out of my head today! Good thing it is cute and catchy because my husband was whistling something that reminded me of the Green Beret song the other day and it was torture all day long!

Happy Birthday Sir Paul!

4. Arghhhhh!
You just HAD to do that!

Just for you.....

Fighting soldiers from the sky
Fearless men who jump and die
Men who mean just what they say
The brave men of the Green Beret

6. Are you declaring war? Or, do you have other ....Feelings?
Feelings, nothing more than feelings,
trying to forget my feelings of love.
Teardrops rolling down on my face,
trying to forget my feelings of love.
Feelings, for all my life I'll feel it.
I wish I've never met you girl, you'll never come again.
Feelings, wo-o-o feelings,
wo-o-o, feel you again in my arms.
Feelings, feelings like I've never lost you
and feelings like I've never have you again in my life.
Feelings, wo-o-o feelings,
wo-o-o, feelings again in my arms.
Feelings...(repeat & fade)

7. No dear, no war BECAUSE.........
You Light Up My Life

So many nights I sit by my window
Waiting for someone to sing me his song
So many dreams I kept deep inside me
Alone in the dark but now
You've come along

You light up my life
You give me hope
To carry on
You light up my days
and fill my nights with song :loveya:

8. No war? That's good, because life is a ....Cabaret,
WHAT GOOD IS SITTING ALONE IN YOUR ROOM?
COME HEAR THE MUSIC PLAY.

LIFE IS A CABARET, OLD CHUM,

COME TO THE CABARET.

PUT DOWN THE KNITTING,

THE BOOK AND THE BROOM,

TIME FOR A HOLIDAY.

LIFE IS A CABARET, OLD CHUM,

COME TO THE CABARET.

COME TASTE THE WINE,

COME HEAR THE BAND.

COME BLOW A HORN,

START CELEBRATING:

RIGHT THIS WAY,

YOUR TABLE`S WAITING.

NO USE PERMITTING

SOME PROPHET OF DOOM

TO WIPE EV`RY SMILE AWAY.

LIFE IS A CABARET, OLD CHUM,

COME TO THE CABARET!

I USED TO HAVE A GIRLFRIEND KNOWN AS ELSIE,

WITH WHOM I SHARED FOUR SORDID ROOMS IN CHELSEA.

SHE WASN`T WHAT YOU`D CALL A BLUSHING FLOWER.

AS A MATTER OF FACT SHE RENTED BY THE HOUR.

THE DAY SHE DIED THE NEIGHBORS CAME TO SNICKER:

`WELL, THAT`S WHAT COMES

OF TOO MUCH PILLS AND LIQUOR.`

BUT WHEN I SAW HER LAID OUT LIKE A QUEEN,

SHE WAS THE HAPPIEST CORPSE I`D EVER SEEN.

I THINK OF ELSIE TO THIS VERY DAY.

I REMEMBER HOW SHE`D TURN TO ME AND SAY:

`WHAT GOOD IS SITTING ALONE IN YOUR ROOM?

COME HEAR THE MUSIC PLAY.

LIFE IS A CABARET, OLD CHUM,

COME TO THE CABARET.

PUT DOWN THE KNITTING,

THE BOOK AND THE BROOM,

TIME FOR A HOLIDAY.

LIFE IS A CABARET, OLD CHUM,

COME TO THE CABARET.`

AND AS FOR ME,

AS FOR ME,

I MADE MY MIND UP BACK IN CHELSEA,

WHEN I GO I`M GOING LIKE ELSIE.

START BY ADMITTING,

FROM CRADLE TO TOMB

ISN`T THAT LONG A STAY.

LIFE IS A CABARET, OLD CHUM,

ONLY A CABARET, OLD CHUM,

AND I LOVE A CABARET.

9. Now I LIKE that one!
Edited on Sun Jun-18-06 02:27 PM by MuseRider
Thanks.

Peace. If I had the time I would suggest we take this battle to the lounge ;). I know every cheesy song ever, in fact I probably love most of them just for their cheesiness. That was fun. Have a great day! :hi:

Edit because I almost forgot

There's a sad sort of clanging from the clock in the hall
And the bells in the steeple too
And up in the nursery an absurd little bird
Is popping out to say "cuckoo"

Cuckoo, cuckoo

Regretfully they tell us Cuckoo, cuckoo
But firmly they compel us Cuckoo, cuckoo
To say goodbye . . .

Cuckoo!

. . . to you

So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, good night

I hate to go and leave this pretty sight

So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, adieu

Adieu, adieu, to yieu and yieu and yieu

So long, farewell, au revoir, auf wiedersehen

I'd like to stay and taste my first champagne

So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, goodbye

I leave and heave a sigh and say goodbye -- Goodbye!

I'm glad to go, I cannot tell a lie

I flit, I float, I fleetly flee, I fly

The sun has gone to bed and so must I

So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, goodbye
Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye

Goodbye!

11. Oh goodness yes!
Jesus loves me! this I know,
For the Bible tells me so.
Little ones to Him belong;
they are weak but He is strong.

Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
The Bible tells me so.

15. Ok, Jesus loves you. As for me, I'm in love with a big blue frog.
I'm in Love With a Big Blue Frog
As recorded by Peter, Paul and Mary

I'm in love with a big blue frog
A big blue frog loves me
It's not as bad as it appears
He wears glasses and he's six foot three

Well I'm not worried about our kids
I know they'll turn out neat
They'll be great looking 'cause they'll have my face
And great swimmers 'cause they'll have his feet

I'm in love with a big blue frog
A big blue frog loves me
He's not as bad as he appears
He's got rhythm and a Ph.D.

Well I know we can make things work
He's got a good family since
His mother was a frog from Philadelphia
His daddy an enchanted prince

(instrumental and froglike bubbling)

The neighbors are against it, it's clear to me
And it's probably clear to you
They think value on their property'll go right down
If the family next door is blue

Well I'm in love with a big blue frog
A big blue frog loves me
I've got a tattoo on my chest
That says P-H-R-O-G, that's frog to me
P-H-R-O-G

13. May the road rise up to greet you and may the wind be at your back, Paul.

I hope that you find joy in being and peace in being with us in our hearts.
I wish you only the best.
I hope that you and Richard get together for some tea and laughs ...
you, John, Richard (Ringo), and George have brought many a smile to my
face or a thought to my brain.

Thanx Paul for this song.

Two of us riding nowhere
spending someone's hard earned pay
You and me Sunday driving
Not arriving on our way back home
We're on our way back home
We're on our way home
We're going home

Two of us sending postcards
writing letters on my wall
You and me burning matches
lifting latches on our way back home
We're on our way back home
We're on our way home
We're going home

You and I have memories
longer that that road
that stretches out ahead

Two of us wearing raincoats
standing solo in the sun
You and me chasing paper
getting nowhere on our way back home
We're on our way back home
We're on our way home
We're going home

You and I have memories
longer that that road
that stretches out ahead

Two of us wearing raincoats
standing solo in the sun
You and me chasing paper
getting nowhere on our way back home
We're on our way back home
We're on our way home
We're going home
We're going home
