Cheney is on CNN lying to the Press Club and the nation.
He said he didn't think anyone anticpated the level of insurgency response. I guess they didn't want to listen to Scott Ritter and some others who said the Iraqis would try their damndest to kick ass.

Another interesting thing he said was that he had underestimated the effects of the dictorial Hussein regime on the ability of Iraqi people to take the reins and govern themselves. He's placing the blame on Saddam, but that was clearly something the State Dept should have anticipated IMO. The facts were apparent; there isn't anything new that would have changed that 30 years of repressive history. It almost sounds as if he thinks they may not be able to govern themselves soon. Maybe he is laying the groundwork for long term control of Iraq (and the oil, of course).

18. they seriously should
they have to cut through all the spin and use their direct words against them
and as we know they havent anticipated much of anything so it would be perfect to compile them to show on the airwaves (since the media wont show any of the truth you may as well make it yourself in the form of a commercial)

he underestimated he,he, he, that is the problem he thinks that he is the government with his overmedicated sleeping ass. His problem is that he thinks they are the only ones who know how to run this government ( which we all can see wrong) when they think that they are on a roll they bring out the PROBLEM CAUSERS : Rove, Cheney and Rice.

17. If he's not lying they're dumber than a box of rocks
Gee, a country with almost no experience with democratic governance and which has been under tghe heel of a dictator for decades might have problems making a sudden transition? How surprising.

And in a country that is inherently divided, there might be repercussions? Shocking.

Gawd, the administration's only counterpoint to accusations of intentionally misleading the nation is the stupidity defense.

23. It's all lies, Cheney knew the 9/11 bullshit was going to happen and allow
for all their imperialism, stealing oil, Halliburtons increased wealth,
No one can question a "war time president" bankrupting the country with the war excuse while killing off social programs and regulations which the greedy republicans despise.

So to cover your ass fake ignorance, though these evil people like Cheney are as complicit as the people they are pointing the fingers at.

19. I'm so freaking sick of this lame ass excuse!
"didn't think anyone anticipated"

It's overused and not a good excuse at any rate! Stupidity is no excuse! The ability to use the simplest of contextual intelligence is required of all positions where one person is charged with the heady responsibility of another's safety, and most certainly required of those in charge of the security of a nation or the management of wars! If they can't anticipate what even Poppy warned of, they are not equipped for the job!

20. 30 years?
Iraq has been under a dictatorship of one sort or another since it was artificially stitched together by the oil companies and Churchill in 1919. The country has no history at all of democracy or self-rule.

21. How many 100,000's were participating in that little 'focus group' outside
your window prior to your war? We all told you this.

Similar to, "Who could have known they would fly planes into buildings", right, Dick, as you yuorself conducted drills flying planes into buildings on 9-11 to distract from the real planes you sent into buildings on 9-11.

:argh: How is it that they are able to get away with that sorry ass excuse over and over and over again? :banghead: They NEVER accept any responsibility for their actions or lack thereof. :grr: And no one dares to hold them accountable. Those that do, pay dearly.
