The Sharon Stone moment on Randi Rhodes today. Anyone listen?
A woman caller told Randi that the reason Fox news hires the lip glossed blonds who must be in front of the camera in short skirts that show their knees is that it's to appeal to males who hope to glimpse the Sharon Stone moment.

Randi at first thought it was ridiculous. Who would want their news mixed in with porn? Then male caller after male caller testified to Randi that it was true. Sexually repressed RW young men were tuning into Fox news hoping basically to look up the news anchor's skirt.

Well, it got pretty raunchy. But the discussion actually revealed that these repressed RW, religious male viewers couldn't really just pop porn into their vcr so instead they get off on the possibility that they might glimpse something naughty while being moral.

Of course Fox has tuned right into this and are selling it. They even call it appealing to the trailer trash. Yecch!

Does anyone else think this is why we got cuckolded in two presidential elections because Fox was able to sell the Bushistas while appealing to the prurient nature of their viewer base?

2. Excellent point
faux knows they need no talent to excite the base. And there is no talent with the female broadcasters on faux. May I just be downright tacky, they look like whores. To be fair, the males on faux have no journalistic talent or ethics either. It does not take much to get someone to vote for a republican. faux is nothing more than porn for those who think they are conservatives.
