....for a DU newcomer. There are different forums for different issues and so far the Admin and Mods have kept everything working fairly well around here. On the other hand, if you disagree, maybe we could look forward to you starting your own message boards where the rules would be completely different?? Be sure to give us a link, ok????

9. Only problem with I/P is once there anything negative about Israel is

locked if not removed. Right now it's breaking news on the radio that Israel bombed another site in Gaza, killing a 14-yr old and a baby. Fat chance anyone will be able talk about this. You can say all manner of negativity against any other country or people but when it comes to Israel you are labeled an anti-semite very quickly no matter how reasoned your comments may be. Sad situation and it's pretty much the same on cable and all other media outlets in the US.

if there's a whisper about palestinians wallowing in their misery, being treated like shit by other muslim countries, and perhaps being responsible for the deaths of innocent israelis and reveling in death, all hell breaks loose. there are some DUers who despise the very idea of israel's existence.

the moderators know what they're doing...we'd begin sounding like stormfront.

correspondent then interviews a weeping
Israeli mother crying about how her kids
just don't feel safe.

Media responds to complainers, attempting to
bend their coverage to appease the complainers.
DU is just another medium.

but we had even Israel itself buying the lie at first.

Indeed there are many legitimately blamed on the other side - both sides - real deaths

But venting against the Arabs via Palestinian evil or Jews via Israeli evil threads, and the frequent dump on Israel because one can't shit on Jews these days threads, are not needed in Democratic Party policy discussions.
