Has Bush Said anything about the two tortured soldiers?
I sure haven't seen one word from the WH.

It is pretty obvious that al Qaida is still alive and well in Iraq. And could very likely be changing it's target from Shia and trying to foment civil war to all out war against Americans. Not a great turn of events for US soldiers.

I have seen a lot more reports on an increase in violence in Iraq. Everyday just brings more bombings and more civilian deaths. This despite 40,000 more troops on the ground in Bahgdad to help the situation there.

Now Sadaam's top lawyer has been kidnapped and killed.

So where is the good news here? Am I missing something important?

Seems to me like the cesspool is just getting worse - not better.

"politics" by either side (too much to hope for I know).

2. I haven't seen or read one word, in fact there was a report on CNN........
.....that I caught the end of a statement by a reporter to the affect that, "If he were to comment on the torture of these soldiers he'd have to make it a habit for all soldiers that are killed." I'm not sure of the exact wording but that was the idea of the comment. Sick, if you ask me.

What's wrong with commenting on each soldier's death and showing the Idiot Boy has an effing heart.:wtf:

3. I don't think so, but the Euros just asked when he'd stop torturing people
I don't think he's personally mentioned them. But this statement from the white house might help:

http://www.nydailynews.com/front/story/428593p-361179c.html

From the Stupid New York Daily News:

Pointless it is to explain to Al Qaeda that when you catch two soldiers, they're prisoners of war, entitled to Geneva Convention specificities. The deaths of Menchaca and Tucker are "a reminder that this is a brutal enemy that does not follow any of the rules," the White House said, sorrowfully stating the obvious. Regardless, it's already a given that some of the European leaders President Bush will be meeting with these next few days would sooner blubber over all those poor detainees in Guantanamo, suffering so, rather than decry the fates of Menchaca and Tucker.

------------------

A brutal enemy that does not follow any of the rules. How very droll.

13. Isn't bush talking about himself
when he says something like "a brutal enemy that does not follow any of the rules" didn't he say that this war has no rules.
What a dangerous and stupid man.

6. If he hadn't tortured he might be able to comment on torture.
But since we now torture at random I guess he really can't say very much, can he?

12. He's been terribly busy. It's hard work being pretzeldent.

Besides he doesn't want Al Qaeda getting upset with him at something he might say.

But I already know he'll sneer his way through a surrealistic explanation that only maniacs will understand.

22. Clinton would have visited them in their homes--without the cameras
to convey his sorrow and frustration.

Chimpy's afraid they'd grab an ashtray and bean him.

Did you see his face when that 7 foot merchant marine grabbed him? He's a wilting little flower in reality.
