Dems are NOT "Split" on Iraq-- Demand MSM STOP the bullshit

They're doing it to us again! According to the media, Dems are mixed-up cut and runners! Even our OWN party has co-opted THEIR language, the offensive slur "cut and run" which is being used by our enemies to batter us. Why?

"It's not a cut-and-run strategy. It does not set a fixed timetable or an arbitrary deadline for the redeployment of our troops," said Sen. Carl Levin of Michigan, ranking Democrat on the Armed Services Committee. To that end, Levin said, "We believe it represents where a majority of our caucus is."

Dems are UNITED in our shared, stated objective to redeploy troops out of Iraq, there is simply a DEBATE on how best to proceed safely and responsibly. Setting a timetable to redeploy vs. phased redeployment by the end of the year. We ARE united. Democracies debate ideas. The Unitary Executive and his Rubber-stamp Congressional minions do not. Why are Dems letting Rove's talking point sink in and become public perception by not deploying our own talking points on the airwaves? We are UNITED, we are UNITED, we are UNITED and want a reality-based debate, not a beating with slogans from Karl Rove's dog-eared political playbook.

1. no dem wants to be in Iraq permanently
Nancy Pelosi just said we should make it clear to the Iraqis that we are not building bases there.

The Bush republicans on the other hand do want to permanently occupy Iraq. And when they say they have some "mission" that will be completed at some point, they are lying.

Articles in the NYT*,the Washington Post and yes the MSM(cable networks)is proof that the Karl Rove propaganda is now at full throttle. Get used to it because we are going to hear this sh-t thru Nov. 2...The hell of it is there are those, that are less informed, will believe this sh-t Yep its "Cut and run"
If the Democrats dont pick up on "its just a number" statement they are spineless and they might as well forget it ..we gain nothing in November..
A statement like that is just an insult to the families and a soldiers life is just a number to the Bush administration..
When the death toll is 3,000 is it still just a number?

*the NYT article is so poorly structured its obvious its was not written by a journalist. It appears to be hot off the Rove press via the fax..... Propaganda at its best..

3. Here's how Kerry handled that on Imus yesterday when Biden was brought up
KERRY: Yes, but if you listen to Joe, I actually read the transcript later because I heard something about it. And he wound up basically agreeing with me without agreeing with me. I mean, he says we're perilously close to the point of no return. What happens when you get to the point of no return? I mean, some of us have a judgment that, you know, the best way to succeed is to get tough. I think you've got to get tough. Our troops are over there under the toughest circumstances.

7. Meanwhile, three Cons from the House remain invisible
There were three (R)'s who voted no on the most recent non-binding GOP resolution on the Iraq war/9-11/War to Scare the People. (Yes, I know there were 42 Dems voting yes on it.) Still, I haven't seen any of those three interviewed by Matthews/O'Donnell or Wolfie.

9. Bush thinks the solution is up to the next president
Democrats think that we need a solution sooner than that.

Simple, huh? But apparently too complex for the media chuckleheads to absorb, and short of liberally handing out smacks with a 2x4, I'm not sure how to go about educating folks who are so stubbornly ignorant.
