Rhode Island Senate: Whitehouse closes in on Chafee
The Rhode Island Poll is out and shows that Sheldon Whitehouse has closed the gap between himself and Sen. Lincoln Chaffe from 19-points to 3-points. Here's the latest figures:

Chafee: 43%
Whitehouse: 40%
Undecided 17%

This IS a must-win state if Democrats are to win back the US Senate. It's traditionally democratic and while Chafee is considered a "moderate" it is best to have an even more dependable vote in the Senate who will vote with the Democrats on most big issues.

If for some reason Chafee loses the GOP primary this is a almost for sure pick up for the Democrats with Whitehouse leading Lafferty 58-27 percent.

1. I have to say
I'm pulling for Lafferty in the puke primary. I want that seat for the Party sooooo bad.

I realize that's cynical, but...that's politics in the early 21st Century (Kinda like 19th Century American Politics. Cynical and brutal)

2. Sen. Schumer and DSCC are aware of what's happening in RI, right?
....or they continue to be demented and useless money grabber club?
