Odd juxtaposition I saw today on an American pickup truck
B/C '04 and "I support the troops and President Bush" stickers on a truck with a license plate that was one of those special plates. This plate said something along the lines of "Conserve Wetlands" and there was also a sticker about reporting poachers.

Hmm, so this guy (in the big-ass Oakley-type sunglasses) wants to conserve wetlands but is a proud supporter of a president who's done the most to destroy our environment in the history of the US?

I just don't get some people.

1. He's a Bush-voting hunter.
My bet is he wants to "preserve wetlands" for hunting reasons.

4. Try this
The guy is probably a hunter -- save the wetlands for more birds to hunt.

Hunters like to kill things. Bush likes to kill things.

8. Right, hunters like to preserve habitat so they'll have something
to hunt.

But the NRA has them all convinced that the Democrats will ban gun ownership. Therefore, even though * has been destroying the environment, hunters overwhelmingly vote republican.

5. wetlands have increased signifigantly under the this administration...
but only because they changed the definition of what constitutes a wetland...iirc- most golf-course water hazards and ponds are now included in the count.

6. Maybe some clever environment conscious vandal placed...
... the "Conserve Wetlands" sticker on the back of is truck and he has just failed to notice it. Or maybe some Pro-Fascism vandal stuck the Pro-* stickers on his truck and he hasn't noticed in close to two years.

7. I did a double-take yesterday on the way home
The bumper sticker said "Share the Road" (motorcycles).

What made me shake my head was that it was on one of those F350 size pickup trucks . . . you know, the kind that like to barrel up to a Yugo and tailgate . . . made me wonder how many times he's "shared the road" . . .

9. Does't read the actual policies and bills?
Thinks the titles like "Clean Air Act" or "Save the Wetlands" really means that with the Bush group?
