5. Saw it last night
I was blown away. There was a lot that I'd already seen and heard, but there was also a lot that I hadn't. I don't want to drop any spoilers, but I agree, that this is an important film that everyone needs to see. Just my $0.02.

8. saw it last weekend...
really liked it, in a scared-crazy kind of way...my wife and i took the quiz at the movie's site for how much we contribute to global warming, and got a pretty low score, which is good considering how much we recycle and rarely drive our car...

i noticed in credits movie used footage from 'farenheit 911' and thought gore's brief mention of the 2000 election, and his comments on it were a reply to Moore...kind of a sad reply...but i respect his film for at least addressing what Moore brought up...

anyway, it's not a cheery movie but it's not boring, and it does offer some hope...i recommend it...

10. I'm not sure if I'm going to see it.
I'm freaked out about global warming enough as it is. I purposefully don't read about it -- I'm doing all I can right now and am afraid I'll just feel hopeless and desperate.

That said, I think Al Gore is THE GREATEST and I'm glad this movie is making a splash.

12. the film gives a lot of positive facts to focus on
Gore puts a lot of effort into pointing out the success of previous atmospheric treaties, like the Montreal Protocol for protecting the ozone layer. He also looks at some of the state and local initiatives to mitigate global warming. He says in the film that he doesn't want people to feel so depressed that they'll feel there's no hope -- even the credits are interspersed with ideas for reducing emissions.

13. That's what I loved about the movie - it ended with HOPE
I thought it was so great - and yes it was terrifying in some ways and yes it was heartbreaking enough to bring me to tears at times but it ended with HOPE. The ending credits were great - accompanying them was a strong song from Melissa Etheridge and then in between the credits were ways that you could help make a change - and the way it was displayed was so moving - everything from Recycle - to "If you believe in Prayer: Pray that people will have the courage to change."

I feel your concern but still urge you to go see it.
