Whatever happened to the human shields who went to Iraq?
I'm aware there were many Westerners who went to Iraq as a human shield before the war? Whatever happened to them?

I was thinking it's a really good tactic. I wonder if something like 50,000 Westerners went to Iran before any kind of war, if any Western leader would be dumb enough to attack Iran.

1. Its very dangerous to go that way thanks to the Govt
and do you think that our govt would allow that many visitors to Iran to protest against the US

2. This administration would first label those American shields
terrorist and enemy combatants.....and then they would justify the deaths by saying the shileds were aiding Iran....

This is their game plan and they are sticking to it...

7. Nothing of importance
Numbers were limited. It was disorganized and there was disagreement with the host government about which sites would be have the shields. I don't recall if any got killed in bombing raids. Their overall impact was negligible or less.

As to an invasion of Iran, I have asserted in the past that it is doubtful that the US would attempt a full up takeover of Iran. Makes no military sense. Better to go into a small areas and remove the nuclear material/destroy the facilities. Human shields would be useless due to the occupation tactic, and I seriously doubt that the Iranian government would let a foreign national any where near their nuclear sites.
