Ever See Fox News With The Sound Turned Down?
I was listening to the great Leontyne Price last night on a cd so I had the sound turned down on the TV which happened to be on the Bill O'Reilly show.

I couldn't believe how powerful the subliminal images were. If you think what they say is bad, look at how they fuck with people's minds with symbols, images and linkages. It's actually worse than the words coming out of their mouths.

When the sound is not on, even the looks on the faces of the host tell you everything. You can see the smug looks that signal "ok I did my job and got that one done..."

People wonder how america believed that Iraq was behind 9-11, look at your tv with the sound turned completely off and you will see another whole world of mind manipulation.

I watched in horror as they kept showing the mugshots of the "black terrorists" in Miami. How they would then show Moussai's (spelling) picture, Richard Reid's picture, then some arabs that I can't pronounce, and so on, linking these black terrorists all the way to Zarqhawi (spelling).

At one point I turned the sound up to hear them trying to present the other point of view with words, i.e. they seemed to be guys trying to find a way to better the community like the Black Panthers, they had no money, no weapons, no drugs. But the whole time they were saying this part, they kept showing the pictures and the linkages to the worst terrorists in the world.

The images and linkages and words below the screen say much more than comes out of their mouths.

They ought to be ashamed of themselves. Willie Horton all over again. It never fails. This is what happens when you let Karl Rove off the hook. He's back at it, and with a vengence.

Same thing with Katrina. Listening to them was hard to take, but watching with the sound turned down was ten times worst. The images of "black refugees" in america, transported by military vehicles, camps, etc. It was devastating.

Okay. I return you to your regular programming now.

1. They are very blatant in their propaganda
aren't they? And as long as the American public watches them and prefers fear to action, they will stay on the air. O'Liely's ratings have fallen alot this past spring - I wonder if they are still down.

3. Fox News,,,
"It feels so good when you stop!"

I actually breathe a sigh of relief when I change the channel.

Your points are well-taken. I might add that on the AM programs and occasionally at other times, they stick the leggy blonde in between the two propagandists, (to quote the author of The Taking of Pelham 123 - the 'whore sammawich') who spew the Republican Talking Points and you watch her calves - very nice usually, I might add - while you're being indoctrinated. when I walk down the street and see great legs, I think about the sanctity of life and the necessity for war...

4. If you record the flashy visuals between segments
you know, the MTV style quick cuts, and slow them down, you will see all sorts of subliminal messages imbedded. Its really quite sad when you think about it.

13. I recall my first posts on DU
I was extraordinarily careful so there would be no double-entendre - as a veteran of business/stock message boards since the earliest days of the Internet, you wanted to introduce yourself carefully so no one would think you were a short-seller trying to talk down the stock/company.

Just a thought...

I am really proud of you. Can you believe he actually managed his FIRST Troll without misspelling any words or butchering grammar?

Oh, they come out the nest so fast and boisterous these days. So eager for ridicule and humiliating intellectual body slams. It almost brings a tear to your eye.

Now, granted, he's still a half-wit, but he's doing it with proper grammar skills. Which means he MIGHT have the mental capacity a bit higher than that of wilted cauliflower, so his shelf life might be a bit longer.

Now granted it's only one sentence, so he has yet to test his ability to put a full paragraph together.

Does anybody think that he can do it without a talking point or repeating something from his nearest convenient Propaganda Media Outlet?

7. Sometimes when we don't have some poor Black-Americans to
persecute;when things aren't as dire - I look at some of them and I can't keep from picturing them in costumes performing for a circus. Sometimes, the only costume I visualize is that of court jesters - court jesters with tights, little skirts with bells, and a pointy hat - all in the cour of King George.

However, legend has it that court jesters in medeival times were supposed to be quite intelligent (supposedly to challenge the superior mind of the king - huh!

11. You make important points.
Imagery, especially visual imagery, is a powerful propaganda tool -- and one that's less subject to conscious controls than complicated verbal communications (words can also convey imagery) that have to be thought about.

And if you combine visual imagery with simple, reinforcing verbal imagery, then the effect is even greater.

Moreover, the speed with which this is done is also important: if it's done relatively rapidly, then many people have to strain to keep up -- and this makes the message more penetrating -- and it allows no time for reflection.

The marketing types have grown powerful in the black arts; and they use these black arts with a heartlessness and consciencelessness that's scarcely believable -- and to ends that reek of treason.

I frequently channel-surf with the sound off. One can often tell a great deal about what's meant to be conveyed by the visuals alone. For example, I saw a "band" the other night where the chief selling point seemed to be some woman's (ample) cleavage... A point reinforced when I turned the sound (briefly) back on (no offense intended, this is a matter of taste... still).

We have powerful, ruthless enemies -- supported by legions of whores.

16. Yes - if you recall the line from The Gauntlet
w/ Clint - Sondra Locke says to the cop who she and Clint 'kidnap' that after a day of her work she takes a bath and she's as fresh as the day she was born, but he, the cop, was always dirty and couldn't get clean.

that's what's going on here - these guys like Russert and Matthews are forever stained and tarnished by their particular type of whoredom...

19. But these talking-heads
("necks", asses, and legs, as the case may be) are really just the show-pieces, the front-men, the streetwalkers -- not the pimps.

It's the reptiles who put together the various messages and "packages", and those who control and finance this, that are the biggest criminals.

To quote Edward L. Bernays: "We are governed, our minds molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of."

Their job is to remain anonymous - it is true at all levels.

I recall years ago, a patient of mine gace me an official media guide for my beloved, though dreadful, Phillies. Aside form the obvious well-known ownders of the team, there were several people who were listed above them whose names were utterly alien to me and I've lived here all my life. Who ARE these guys, as Butch Cassidy asked? They're the real power behind the throne...

21. Absolutely!
They have been using subliminal programming on us for ages. Hitler was very attune, or at least Hitler's PR men were, to what goes on beneath our consciousness.

The Neos have become more blatant, and are going to shoot themselves in the foot with their arrogance; I am very glad to see the awakening happening here!

Esoteric info can sound too out there, people think "Why didn't anybody tell me about this earlier?". It is kept on the QT so it can be a continued manipulation in the hands of those who use it. Glad to see it exposed in such an articulate voice.

Your analogy to the black arts is dramatic; what caused you to connect the two? Just wondering how you became so informed. At any rate there is quite a bit of overlap/interface between psychology and the occult.

29. I'm no fan of
(or believer in) the occult, but there are certain practices that are something very much like magic, in that these practices (can) escape the understanding (and conscious control) of those that they are practiced on.

And when these practices are aimed at (and used for) manipulation and exploitation, then referring to them as "black arts" seems natural enough.

But I wouldn't count on the master-manipulators failing because they overreach -- because they prey on human weakness, which is ever-present. Besides, people (can) get invested in what they believe (have fallen-for) to the point where it becomes a fundament of identity, and therefore is most difficult to shed -- particularly as this might entail admitting some failure or weakness in themselves.

23. Yesterday in fact. I decided to treat myself to a manicure and pedicure
and the nail place had a large flat screen tv tuned into Fox, no sound. The graphics were fear this terror this killer that. I turned to the woman next to me and talked about all the fear propaganda and she agreed with me. She said let them protect us here, not there. She then told me that her nephew went into the Army, thinking of it as a career. After a tour in Afghanistan and one in Iraq, he is getting out as soon as he can. I then brought up all the lies and deceptions and she was in total agreement.

BTW.... Only once did I ever put Fox on my own tv. That was when a dear friend of mine who had been a delegate at the 2004 Dem convention was interviewed by them.

25. I'll tell you when I watch Fox:
When there's domestic news breaking somewhere, Fox ususally has the best camera work and on the spot reporting. I used to watch the NBC Feed online, but I dont' have the patience for that anymore. Fortunately, I have a TV my private office which is visible from the hallway, so when something happens, my eye catches the breaking news subtitle and I can move quickly to ascertain what's going on and find the best station. MSM sucks all the way around so I dont' give a damn what the so-called reporter says - they don't know shit from Shinola on any network. It's pathetic. I showed my kid the first 2 hours of the Kennedy Assasination As it Happened from NBC, and showed her what real reportage was. These people said only what they knew to be confirmed and if it were not, they let you know in no uncertain terms that it was conjecture. Of course, they were not prepared for the conspiracy/coverup but at least they were reporting only what was in front of them, not what they thought would paly well for their audience.

CNN is way behind everyone else now - it used to be the go-to station. In fact, the other day something big was going on and CNN was running some Health Report on bladders or pancreases or something. If I wanted that, I'd watch one of the Health or MD networks.

The chick gym I go to has a TV, and most days (depending on who's working and what time I arrive) I'm treated to the closed-caption editions of The Fox Report and/or O'Reilly - usually the latter. I try not to pay too much attention.

My sweetheart is very sensitive to things like that...

When someone has the TeeVee tuned to Fox News (especially) or any
of the other 24/7 RW propaganda machines. She gets very agitated and
then physically ill. Even with the sound muted!

I've noticed in homes I've been visiting... Families will fight after
Fox News has been on for awhile. It's sort of a "Superbowl Syndrome" type
thing.

That's why we don't watch them.
