Why would you take a chance that Al Gore is wrong?
Even if you "hate" Al Gore...

Even if you believe everything the Republicans tell you...

Even if you truly believe that Global Warming is made up by "socialist" scientists and wacky liberals...

WHY WOULD YOU TAKE THE CHANCE THAT AL GORE IS WRONG??!!

Let me put it another way.

First, hold your nose and pretend you're a Republican.

Let's say your doctor tells you that you have a new life threatening disease caused by eating too many peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. That same Doctor tells you that one a day is fine, but three or four is too many. Okay, easy right? You'll live, but you have to make a small sacrifice to survive.

Now, here comes Hannity, Rush, and doctors paid by the peanut butter industry telling you that your doctor is wrong. They make fun of your doctor and every other doctor that agrees with him. They say this, even though your doctor has numerous studies and is backed by 95% of all other doctors in medicine.

What do you do?

Do you take a chance and listen to the Republicans, or do you listen to your doctor? Now, unless you're a complete jackass you would do what your doctor told you to do.

Why wouldn't you feel the same way about global warming?

1. Cuz it's profitable? Cuz, maybe I can afford to live outer space?
Mind you, the 'I" is purely putative.

7. BECAUSE THERE IS NO PROOF???
Yes, I'm yelling. There is proof of global warming. Overwhelming proof. Don't confuse the terms proof and faith, they don't match.:banghead:

8. I'm not sure if you're being serious or not, but...
we're talking about science here, not faith.

4. They think if they only make enough money, they'll be okay
dying for lack of clean air, water will only be for the underclasses, NOT THEM. Remember,
Babs, the mother of all compassion, saying: well, really, they're better off, to the poor
people that had lost everything and had been evacuated to Houston.

5. Upton Sinclair nailed it decades ago when he wrote ...
Upton Sinclair wrote, “It is difficult to get a man to understand something when his salary depends upon his not understanding it.”

Gore uses the quote in the movie.

6. You can't compare an educated person with people who promote
ignorance. If anyone saw C-Span this morning they had a guest from an educational group who had a map showing stats of high school graduation rates over the county. Guess what section graduates 50% and below? You guessed it - the South. The really funny part was the map was red and blue and the red states are the lower percentage graduation rates. The guy joked that this map isn't about politics, but he's wrong -it is!
