HAH! Repubs aren't "hanging tough"... they're running SCARED of Rove
Edited on Sat Jun-24-06 12:23 PM by blm
The spin that Republlicans hung tough on Iraq is pure BULLSHIT. Polls are showing they are not representing their constituents or even representing their own inclinations of common sense.

They ARE showing how SCARED they are of Rove, and their fear of embarassing Bush. That is WEAKNESS. Democrats should exploit the fact that Repubs are too WEAK-MINDED to represent their own constituents or even their own common sense. They are far too AFRAID of what power Rove will wield against them.

DUer MissWaverly has an interesting thread on this, too.

5. The Dems in DC Are Afraid Of Rove Too
We must assume that Rove has full access to all of the information the NSA has been gathering.

9. And they were listening BEFORE 9-11, so no doubt it was driven by politics
not terrorism.

7. Nicely said ....I agree completely
The Republicans might have actually had a chance in the Fall if they were smart enough to take a real stand on Iraq ... the Kerry-Feingold Amendment is where the people are and more importantly where the people are going (in addition to being the right thing to do).

But the Republicans did what they do best this week and they simply followed the orders of their corrupt leader. The funny thing is ... what does Bush bring them? He doesn't have coattails to ride on anymore. Rove is using the Republicans legislators to make the Republicans appear united, but they will be sorry because they will all down together.
