So .. what happens when Bushco is out of power?
This question is on my mind .. having read this post ..

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=364&topic_id=1508135&mesg_id=1508507

The original article discussed the "myth of sovereignty" in Iraq. The OP pointed to the US now building permanent air bases there (and the big ol' lavish Embassy there) ... and the OP asked the question .. "what will they do to STAY in power? Short of rigging the voting machines again." (thanks for the post btw)

This got me thinking ...

either they DO think they can rig the voting again ... or ... what?

Its like a really bad novel pitch .. they use the US govt/military to invade a country rich in oil resources, drain as much money from the US govt via Haliburton and lack of oversight, totally screw up the government, civil rights, economy, and environment of the US, institute means to collect all communication datas from the US, deplete the military ... then after there 8 years end they move into the palactial US Embassy and continue to "try to take over the world, Pinkie" .....

Seriously though .. if not rigging the voting .. how do they really expect to stay in power and maintain that mess?

1. Being out of power is not in their plans

While Bush may or may not step down from the presidency Jan 2009, rest assured they are planning to retain power, regardless of who resides in the whitehouse (or more likely, BECAUSE of who resides there)

3. Being out of power for four years might be their plan
because it will be just long enough to blame a Democrat for all of the problems they've caused over the last few years. No Democrat is going to be able to fix this mess in four years, and they will be in full obstructionist mode preventing one from even making a good start.

The corporate smear machine will be in full cry.

That's why they're talking Jebbie up for the #2 slot, so he'll be poised to take over Empire in 2012.

4. We've been expanding militarily
off this continent for a century. That's not going to stop because this administration is gone.
