Dick Morris urges Joementum to run as an Independent
"I think Sen. Joe Lieberman will lose the primary and will be so crippled by the defeat and Ned Lamont so empowered, that he will lose the general election as an independent...Lieberman's correct coarse of action would be to resign from the primary and run as an independent. It's the only way he can get re-elected"

5. He'd stand a better chance in the GOP primary.
If Lieberman wants to win he needs to be in a one on one race. He'll stand a better chance running as a Republican against a Democrat than running as an Independent against a Democrat and a Republican.

9. on the other hand he does predict Joe will lose the Dem primary
and if he loses that primary, Ned will have the momentum to win the general and that Joe's only hope is to run as an Indy now. For once, I think he is right.
