'Cosby: Live' soon
dead at MSNBC

Rita Cosby

MSNBC personality Rita Cosby yesterday went from the floodwaters of Pennsylvania into the fire of 30 Rock.
After a grueling nine-hour meeting involving Cosby, her agent and top NBC News and MSNBC execs, the third-rated cable news network announced that her weeknight show, "Rita Cosby: Live & Direct," will be canceled in early July.

Instead she'll be the "primary anchor" of "MSNBC Investigates," a taped documentary program that will air at 10 and 11 p.m. She'll also lead a "Rita Cosby Specials" documentary unit, according to an MSNBC press release.

Cosby - who rushed back after anchoring her Wednesday night show in knee-deep water in Yardley, Pa. - told me she's pleased with her new gig, which initially will give her less nightly on-air presence than she enjoys now.

She's taking over MSNBC INVESTIGATES, which he's been stuck with.

9. She's still there . . .
just not on her own show thankfully. Since she and Olbermann are such good friends he probably suggested to the boy wonder Dan Abrams that Rita's show should be taken off the air.

As for cloning, I think one Keith Olbermann is quite enough. It's hard to keep track of all the moves at MSNBC recently. Who's next?

8. and that Scarborough guy can go too
I don't like MSNBC at all except Keith but I am usually not watching CNN or MSNBC. I have better things to do than listen to bullshit. Rita sucks big time also.

5. I wonder if they've approached bill maher?
or one of the AAR hosts. Although, they may have problems with sponsorship because the rightwing would be foaming at the mouth. KO is proof that people will watch a fast moving, well-rounded show with a host who's not a foaming-at-the-mouth rightwing nutjob.
