B*sh BORROWED money from a Dunkin Donuts customer ...
to pay for cups of coffee he "bought" for some other Dunkin Donuts customers... Elaine Boosler (hosting for Steph Miller) just spoke about this.

F*CKING BASTARD- he gets paid a 400K annual salary, vacations for the month of Ausgust, lives rent free on OUR dime, flies around the country to fundraisers and photo ops on OUR dime, WE pay for his food and energy expenses... and he has to BORROW money from some poor schmuck having a coffe and donut?

What the f*ck?

I'm not surprised, but...
He's the (play-acting) President of the United States. On a typical day, when would he ever use cash?

him. Apparently he relies on the Secret Service to pay and leave tips.... if this is true I wonder why this wasn't done in this instance? Asking to borrow money from some poor shmuck in DD so you can pay for treating someone else to coffee is terribly tacky IMO.

BTW - does anyone know how long the president hasn't been "allowed" to carry cash if this is true? (TIA)

11. Bush hasn't been allowed to carry cash since he was twelve.
But I think I remember that Clinton didn't carry cash on him while he was (the real) president.

10. He "borrowed" it from an aide. But from what I understand, it is tradition
that sitting presidents (or those illegally occupying The White House) don't actually carry cash with them.

But you would think that since this was a staged, pre-planned photo-op, that Bush would have put a few dollars in his pocket.

16. That's a start
and moreover, I'd've taken great pleasure in declining his offer to buy me a coffee. It would undoubtedly have become a news story and would have provided an opportunity to point out what a photo op it was and what a bad president he is.

17. Oh Please, the President of the United States should not have to
carry money. I dislike him as much as anyone but, if Clinton had done that we all would have been raging about how "human" he was and how "funny" it was. Let's try to maintain some perspective once in a while. When we get this petty, we just look BAD!!

24. OK- but B*sh OFFERED to buy them coffee
without HAVING money which he had to then BORROW from an ordinary person. He KNEW he didn't have the money to pay, but made the offer anyway.

If a President or any person does not have money, he/she should NOT be offereing to "treat" others on borrowed money.

33. Oh' YOU please. Clinton did his morning jog to McDs
and bought french fries every day. Leno/Letterman always made fun of that. If he never paid for them, then the right wing would've been screaming up to high heaven at how he's stiffing the working men and women at McDonald's every morning for his FF fix, and wants them laid off because of his increase in minimum wage.

It's certainly more plausable to smear him for that, than stopping all air traffic getting a $300 haircut, or murdering Vince Foster. Clinton had money every morning.

28. Here I will defend Bush
Presidents don't carry wallets, money, etc. The West Wing had several incidents where Bartlet had to deal with that. The American President has a very funny storyline about the President ordering flowers for his girlfriend, he ends up cutting some from the Rose Garden.

Dunkin' Donuts is owned by the Carlyle Group. It's a family business for the Bushes. This was just a cheap plug for Daddy's donut shop. Bushes can't ever do anything on the up and up.
