I joined DU on Inauguration Day, 2001, shortly after its inception. Since then I've mostly lurked and read the forums basically on a daily basis. Thanks to the creators, mods, and members here who have made this kind of community a reality.

To celebrate my personal milestone, I dedicate my 1000th post to George W. Bush, with this photo journal of pictures I've collected about his bungles, and things that just seemed like I should keep a copy of for future reference. Please, post your own!

And the speech that looked like it was given by a bobblehead doll of Bush.




And then of course there's these that just PISS ME OFF:

The "Safe and Secure America Administration" has more leaks than the average inner-city public school plumbing system.


They didn't want you to see this picture.


And this picture is hard to forget.




And then there's the president himself, just being himself:


This nightmare was so close to over way back when.

You know that statue of the thinking man? This is Bush's impression of that guy.

WTF. I thought he wanted a Constitutional amendment against this?


But I guess not.

MY HEART! Man she scares the shit out of me... This was at the Halloween costume party at the White House.


And then Thanksgiving rolled around, and the Turkey attacked him. "TerraTurkey!"


It's hard having the free rides everywhere, at least he could give the customary "Thanks for the lift," salute.


And "Thanks for the lift, tights."


It probably wasn't his first time in tights. "Vietnam? What's that all about?"

Then there was that horrible Inauguration Day. but it provided some humor:
