Colin Powell: "Guantanamo Ought To Be Closed Immediately"
Posted by James Bennet

That was one headline out of this morning's session with Colin Powell, Justice Stephen Breyer, Senator Bob Bennett, and Mike McConnell.

"Guantanamo ought to be closed immediately," Powell said. He said the value of holding prisoners there was unclear, but the price we were paying around the world for doing so was obvious. He said we should not release the prisoners and dismissed the objection there was no other alternative. "We have ways of dealing with this population" that do not require Gitmo, he said.

2. Go Powell!
I liked Colin Powell. It's unfortunate that he got himself involved with those corrupt bastards from 2000 through 2004. I don't blame him for leaving the regime.

His comments about Guantanamo should be obvious to everyone with half a brain.

6. What, he's all better now after that altitude sickness/food poisoning?
Maybe he had himself a good purge, and has come to his senses. A day late, a dollar short? Or better late than never???

7. Where was Colin?
Colin is what is called in my day, back in High School a "schnoid", Schnoids are little tiny people that live in rectums, they only come out at night to lay eggs and say stupid shit.

I think Colin was actually living in Bush's ass, tho I heard that Cheney's was more roomy, except for having to put up with Libby's head in there all the time.. :)

8. "Ve haff vays of dealink vit zis populaaation." Not the best word choice.
I should give a speech sometime about how smart I am compared to all the times I had some major responsibility and fucking blew it. That would make me a statesman, too, apparently.
