US Propaganda - Experts: Iraq Likely to Become Major US Election Issue
Edited on Tue Jul-11-06 11:04 PM by Steve_DeShazer
Yup, that's the headline. On the ironically named "Voice of America" website, billed as "A trusted source of news and information since 1942"

Pay attention to the framing of this article. Italics and bolds are mine. The following is a great example of brainwashing.

Experts: Iraq Likely to Become Major US Election Issue

<snip>

Opposition Democrats hope to seize control of one or both chambers of the U.S. Congress in the November mid-term elections, in large part because of voter dismay over the situation in Iraq. In the first of a two-part series, VOA national correspondent Jim Malone has more on how Iraq could impact this year's U.S. congressional elections.

<snip>

Democrats are eager to highlight the public's dissatisfaction with the situation in Iraq, even as they acknowledge their own party's divisions over how long U.S. troops should stay there. "Where is the plan? Where is the president's plan to get us out of Iraq? He is the commander in chief. We are not," said Harry Reid of Nevada, the Senate Democratic leader.

<snip>

But in recent weeks, the Republicans have tried to refocus the debate on the Democrats and their lack of a unified plan for Iraq.

"Here is how you win elections. You win elections by believing something. You win elections by having a plan to protect the American people from terrorist attack," said President Bush, who spoke about the issue at a recent news conference.

This pisses me off big time. This is what happens when you have government control of media. Are we no better than the Soviet Fucking Union??

1. Our media is awful and worse it's always called "liberal"
By who? The media itself. It's such an awful set of shambles.

6. But the OP's added emphasis makes it that much clearer, doesn't it?
He makes it very clear how sneaky the MFs on the Dark Side are.

7. Here is how you win elections. You win elections by believing something.
Yes, believing in shitty dirty campaigns that smear the opponent because you know that 51% of the citizens are morons and will believe it. The good old american way.
