Chuck Todd just said Lott was calling donors over the weekend and word has it he is running.:(

Doesn't MS have a Repuke governor. That way the repukes can keep that senate seat.

4. He's got an axe to grind with Bush's circle. This is no shock.
He's got about as much chance of winning the nomination & election as he does of winning the lottery and then being struck by an asteroid, so I'm not sure why he's bothering. From the Democratic side, however.. this is certainly a positive development.

Much could be made of a GOP in-fight between Trent and whatever form Bush's current political machine will take to run in the next election. Trent knows where a good number of the bodies are buried, and if he's still nursing wounds from being stabbed in the back to make way for Bush proxy Frist then a political bloodbath could ensue.

And that is something to be positively delighted about.
