Coulter Backs Call for Execution of 'NYT' Editor, But Prefers Firing Squad

NEW YORK In her latest syndicated column, Ann Coulter, already the center of controversy for suggesting violent measures to combat certain liberals, defended the recent call by radio talk show host Melanie Morgan that Bill Keller, executive editor of The New York Times, be sent to the "gas chamber" for committing "treason."

But in the column, distributed by Universal, she adds her own twist: "I prefer a firing squad, but I'm open to a debate on the method of execution. A conviction for treason would be assured under any sensible legal system."

She also charged that "the Times is doing everything in its power to help the terrorists launch another attack on New York City."

But she added that she isn't counting on "any treason charges emanating from this administration," as President Bush appears happy to chat amiably about the situation with Larry King on CNN. "This is how Bush 'intimidates' the press?" she concludes. "The level of intimidation I had in mind is more along the lines of how President Dwight D. Eisenhower 'intimidated' Julius and Ethel Rosenberg at 8 in the morning, June 19, 1953."

That's the day both were executed, of course.

to say whatever the fuck they want to say. She's rubbing our noses in it because we on the left are not permitted to call for an assassination squad to put her out of her misery.

2. Strangely enough Coulter's latest column began with the words
"Call me Ishmael"

She swears she made that up in her own mind.

3. Oh please
She's just mad that the Times scooped her on a program so secret the president who she is suppose to love had talked about it in public countless times. She such an ace researcher this type hard hitting coverage is beyond her.

4. Go f*ck yourself, Coulter. You are not even a human being, but some
other form of life low down on the chain. You are disgusting. In his former career, no doubt Tom DeLay killed a lot of your family members.

Pig bitch from hell.

6. Has anyone actually told her...
Edited on Thu Jul-13-06 10:24 AM by kiki
...that Dimson has mentioned this program about 20 times in public speeches?

Has anyone shown her this website - www.swift.com - which has been online for months, if not years?

Has anyone told her just to shut the fuck up, and that all this liberal-baiting won't make daddy love or accept her any more?

(By the way, I wasn't certain of the SWIFT program's URL, so I just took my best guess - whaddya know, it was www.swift.com. Truly the information is buried beneath a subtle web of subterfuge and mystery. With my ability to sniff out top-secret government programs, I guess I could be chief of intel for Al-Qaeda - if some hideous, talentless skank doesn't have me shot first!

Oh Ann, if only you saw the irony... the day you get your most fervent wish - fascist rule in America - is the day you realise that neocons don't like mouthy broads of any stripe, and you dutifully trudge back to the kitchen... and we'll be laughing, laughing, laughing at you from the camps...)

wailing about how persecuted she is and how in danger she is. This woman is so over. She just needs to sit down and shut up.

9. Bratty little kid...
She is behaving like a three year old who knows she can get a lot of attention by using bad language in front of 'the company' and Mommy and Daddy won't punish her because 'company' is there.
I would really like it if somebody called her on this ON AIR and either sent her to go stand in the corner or to her room like the nasty little brat she is.

10. I sometimes wonder why anyone would care what such a disturbed person...
...thinks about public issues, but I guess this is contemporary American culture's version of the old carnival "freakshows" where people would line up for a taste of something vaguely seedy and always bizarre. All Ann Coulter needs to do is start biting the heads off of chickens to make the connection even more direct.

11. There's no way this freak can be for real......
I have long held the suspicion, and Donnie Deutsch's interview from the other night confirms it. Ann Coulter is a sham. She's playing an overblown character with fake, overblown outrage. She has found resonance within the knuckle-draggers of the uber-conservatives, and she's riding them all the way to the bank like some two-bit tel-evangelist, all the time denying her true nature.

She plays at being a harridan, but I suspect she's really a shyster. Andy Kauffman would be proud.

15. These two entities need each other: The Vampire Right, with the blood
and brains of Iraqi children dripping from their fangs, and their "opposition," the Crucifix-wielding, garlic-wreath wearing, war profiteering corporate news monopolies, led by the New York Times.

I don't' believe in capital punishment. But I do believe in appropriate punishment. Put them all in Gitmo and throw away the key.

No. No. I take that back. Better plan: Fine them, big time. Get some of our money back. Release all the current prisoners, and given them lifetime support including psychiatric counseling if they want it. And put the Ghouls to work turning Gitmo into a museum and park. The museum will house photos and other evidence of U.S. torture and unjust war. The park and gardens will have Weeping Wells, places where visitors can vent their sorrow and compose themselves. Coulter, Keller, Judith Miller and a few other media warmongers whose crimes we can identify, and of course Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice, et al, will be assigned to do all the shit work--tearing down the fences, busting up the concrete, plowing the dirt, weeding, burying any stray bodies they find, assembling the torture implements and labeling them for display, and whatever other shitwork the architects need done, to covert the grounds to a peaceful place, to re-make the structure into a public-friendly museum, and maybe also to build guest cottages where torture-widows and war-widows and wounded vets and others affected by the junta can be given free meditation retreats. Then, when all the shitwork is done, if the Ghouls have not become peaceful people by then (it can happen), and can't be employed as gardeners and servants--if keeping them around will spoil everybody's experience of the place--they will either have to be moved on to some other transformative project (Abu Ghraib?), or provided with some other kind of employment (emptying bedpans in Veterans' hospitals, that kind of thing). We can't leave these kind of people idle. And they really don't deserve freedom. A lifetime of service to the poor, the sick, the wounded and the aggrieved should be their punishment. And that's doing them a favor, really--because they have a lot of karma to work off.

(I have another idea for the Gitmo Garden, and that is vast fields of hemp growing there, the fiber to be used to manufacture paper ballots for U.S. elections. It would be great to see the Vampires and Ghouls of this regime, and their corporate news monopoly enablers, harvesting hemp for ballots. Just don't let them anywhere near the ballot printing facilities.)
