3. He's probably just talking about Israel - and got carried away
- forgot about Iraq and all (the other countries).

We're not supposed to take him seriously anyway. He's just babbling.

21. First of all
in all probablility Iran doesn't even have a nuke they can fire at Israel. I'll reverse your question though. What should we do if Israel uses a nuclear weapon in the ME?

23. If Iran was to launch a nuke at Israel, Israel would glassify
Iran.

You think Iran doesn't know this?

It would be all over before we even knew about it.

12. Or Nazi Germany?
You want to go by the philosophy that "every nation has a right to self-defense..."

If you want to claim that Venezuela, North Korea, or Iran all have a right to self-defense, why didn't nations like Nazi Germany have that right? In the eyes of the internaional community, when your regime becomes disruptive and creates weapons for the purpose of offense, then you cease have the right to self-defense. That is why the world is not going to allow Kim Jong Il to have an ICBM. That is why Iran is not allowed to have nuclear weapons.

It isn't just the US with this philosophy...but Europe as well. The EU agrees with us about Iran. They can't be allowed to have nuclear weapons when their leader is preaching about the destruction of jews.

16. The United States has WMD for the purpose of offense.
Edited on Thu Jul-13-06 11:56 AM by Tierra_y_Libertad
And, is the only nation to have used nuclear weapons. And, has used WMD for offensive reasons. Israel has nuclear weapons and has threatened use them. And, Israel is the aggessor in it's latest war against Lebanon.

Iran has no nuclear weapons, nor did Iraq.

Whereas, Nazi Germany, did have WMD but didn't use them. And, according to Hitler Germany was fighting a "defensive" war against "Jewish Bolshevism" to the point that, on several occasions, his minions tried to negotiate a seperate peace with the West in order to "defend" Europe from the red-menace.

I was pointing out that Bush's alleged philosophy of "every nation has a right to defend itself" is full of holes.

14. 150 conflicts since WW2...
Nothing has been prevented by the UN... We have had 150 armed conflicts world-wide since World War 2. Look at all the wars going on around the world today that we have no role in.

The reason we havn't had a World War since the 1940s is because we and Russia have been the only two superpowers in the world. And we nearly went at it a few times (Cuban Missile Crisis)
In 1900, there were 5 superpowers. So there was more fighting over the world's resources.

There are superpowers building right now...Europe and China. And Russia is trying to get back in the game. So we will probably see a world war before this century is out. Too many people fighting over the same things.

The UN does a lot of good. But they are useless when it comes to armed conflict situations.

The "peace loving" United States that engineered and participated in many of those conflicts?

People who love their country will die for it.

We're already dying. Starving. Being dumbed down. Not utilized for the betterment of this country.
