5. Telecom companies should stop spying

Fifth, any telecommunications company that has provided the government with access to private information concerning the communications of Americans without a proper warrant should immediately cease and desist their complicity in this apparently illegal invasion of the privacy of American citizens.

The Bush Administration cannot continue its illegal wiretapping without the complicity of the major telecom organizations. Maybe we should give them an earful:

1. Are these companies known to have helped?
I've got Verizon at home and T-Mobile for cell.

If I find out for sure, I'm canceling both of them.

2. It stands to reason that they must have.
Verizon controls the bulk of hard lines in the United States as far as I am aware, not the NSA.

So yeah, they would be complicit in the wiretapping.

3. No need to complain to Cingular - they're already suing.
And, I hear Wes Clark (via his son on Kos) is planning to bring suit, too. :)

4. That's excellent.
The Government cannot spy on us without the help of these corporations, and they can be stopped.
