Above Boston....
....the map becomes hazy and reads "here be dragons"....or so it seems...I live above Boston and all national media seem to think the above is a fact-but several million of us (think Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont) live up here....it is disapointing to watch all coverage of news weather et al stop south of us-cognito,ergo sum...we think we exist so why don't they???Anyone else here live in a cultural cul de sac???

1. Central NH here
Frankly, I'm glad we're ignored. My p.o.'d meter has been in the red zone for some years now and I really don't need to listen to a load of crap about those hairy trogs who live in the moun-tans - in the win-tah.

If you think northern NE is 'here be dragons' country, try northern midwest, ie Michigan's UP.

:grr:

6. Yooopers
Actually, they're pretty cool folks; they put Porche engines on snowmobiles. There's talk about trying to jump the Mac Straits.

:silly:

4. Well, I know where Yoopers are!
But few know where I am, other than 'that state with the Cheese and Feingolds'...'Oh, and the Packers'.

And ya, I'm kind of glad to be ignored too, most of the time.

2. Ever since Cheeseheadstan got kicked out of 'Middle America'...
...I'm just not sure WHERE we are anymore. They can't call us the 'midwest' nowdays -- not with all the blue voters. Same with all the rest of the Great Lakes States (MN, IL, MI and WI, of course) -- nobody really ever talks about us anymore. It's always just East Coast, West Coast, and Midwest (which has come to mean only OK,KS, IA and NE, apparently).
