DUers: Boycott tonight's Hardball
Tweety's featured guest tonight is the bile spewing, right-wing hater monger Ann Coulter. I think it is time for we liberals to send a message to the networks that we will not support them if they continue to put Ann Coulter on the air. They will continue to take us for granted unless we start hitting them in the pocketbook.

Instead of watching Hardball turn to another news channel for the hour. Maybe MSNBC will get the message.

15. It does?
How? Does it phone home with that data? I know that it does not send it back up to the satellite with that tiny dish.

Makes me glad I do not have satellite.

Must be digital cable then.
Because I know our analog cable sans any cable box cannot report back.

Not that there is anything to report.

"Ben watches the Weather Channel for 15 minutes almost every morning, and watches CNN when there is a space shuttle launch."

Because that is the sum total of my TV watching.

4. I always boycott Hairball.
Tweety makes me nauseous, all by himself. The combination of Tweety and AnnThrax would be enough to give me convulsions. I'm sure there will be those who just *have* to watch, like when you can't help staring at a horrible car wreck, but I'm feeling pretty good right now and I don't want to ruin a pleasant afternoon.

5. How about I don't watch Hardball tonight.... or ever? God that show sucks.
I hate all cable news though... I'm hoping the biased-talking-head-news shows are a fad that will disappear one day. Much like the prime-time game-show fad of several years ago. :-)

14. It's long past time to tell her that her 15 minutes are up
They were a long time ago.

We should not give her any free advertising. I'm not interested in reading what she writes just for shock value, which is all her garbage is worth. She substitutes invective for rational argumetn and can't develop a theme to save her life. She isn't a journalist, she isn't a writer and she isn't even very good eye candy. She's totally worthless.

18. Will he ask her about her fundraising prowess?
Apparently she was supposed to be the draw at a Colorado politician's fundraiser, and nobody showed up. Hee, hee, hee.

But Tweety won't dare ask Little Arfin' Annie about this, or about the plagiarism, or about the inflated numbers showing the bulk sales of rotten little book. I will bet a shiny nickel.

If you're lucky, maybe only one DU'er reading this thread will actually have a nielson's rating box so at your luckiest MSNBC would only notice one viewer missing. I have a feeling though you may not even be that lucky, and MSNBC won't notice ANYONE missing.

Sorry, but that's reality.

33. Not Where It Counts They Don't.
The advertisers and networks go by the nielson numbers, period. They may peek at DVR numbers here and there, but the ones that matter, especially in a plight such as this, is the nielson ratings. And unless ya got a box, this is useless.

Bubbly,

I am happy to be able to shed a little light on Ann the Counter.

Ann is proof positive that aliens exist. On Ann's home planet the intelligent life form is more akin to Earth’s Arthropoda phylum life forms than Hominoidea which our human egocentric view of advanced life demands. If you ask any competent scientist they will tell you that the overwhelming probability of alien species is Arthropoid in nature.

The scientists on Ann home planet, which by the way is just 30,000 light years from our sun and for a very advanced (by our standards) life form, and not that long a trip. Ann’s planet is in a solar system, also a relatively new star, like ours, with 13 planets with only the one exhibiting advanced life.

We, at the defense Department Office of Interstellar Space Intelligence have heretofore not been willing to speak publicly about Ann and her visit to Earth. Ann, in spite of appearances to the contrary, is a scientist on a mission to achieve some understanding as to why, in our human myths, what we call insects are not perceived to be the superior life forms they are in most of the Universe and is actually quite benign.

Republicans have been Ann's primary human supporters, but for a mistaken reason. Republicans assume that Ann’s attitude toward human life applies only to Republican detractors. Actually, Ann’s species views life as accidental, and Hominid life forms, such as ours, a Galactic mistake. So the republican assumption that Ann holds liberals in contempt is in error. Ann, in her normal non-human form would happily consume any Republican for a light lunch were she not restricted by her species and her mission to scientific observation only.

So, take what Ann writes and says with a grain of salt, as it were. In her normal form, more like our praying mantis, she would gobble up Tom DeLay in a heartbeat.

We do admit that when her scientists created her human form they gave her some decent looking legs even if her face is more insect-like.

Glad I could help.

coulter slandered dems on both fronts, while claiming ignorance of BUSH's flag ad, and refusing to comment on specifics about the ME.

if she's on for those reasons, and NOT to discuss her sleazy book, WHY have her on at all, if she's so unprepared?

now, this is good: Valerie Wilson

amazing that they have only HER to comment on this
