Video- Stephen Colbert at Knox College
His speech begins about half way through the first part, but the presentation of his honorary doctorate which proceeds it is also enjoyable. The speaker commends him for his "veritas-iness" :)

is the perfect change of pace

"God wrote the Bible in English for a reason: so it could be taught in public schools!"

give lots of credit to Knox College

I'll bet that weasel David Horowitz is fuming over the fact that his introducer used the dreaded "L" word in praising Colbert

7. I was hoping to come across a video after reading the text
and forgot to look. It's much funnier to see him do it -and there's something so *just* about seeing him honored. As an agent of change in the kind of press media available to us, he really is part of a cultural phenom.

5. It became more liberal between the time I went and now
The gay group on campus was anonymous back then and now is out and proud. It has very liberal roots though as it was founded by abolitionists who made it a point to educate blacks and whites together.

9. I so wish I still lived in Chicago
sadly I don't. I figured you were kidding. Knox is one of those good, small, liberal arts colleges. I would recommend it to everyone.

Dumb question, but is your volume turned up? (I only ask because that's happened to me before)
