Israel has a bush Quote on it's Government Website....
I guess they are advertising the US support for their assault on Lebanon. And talk about a stupid qoute. bushco** Demanded Syria stay out of Lebanese affairs just two years ago.

http://www.mfa.gov.il/mfa

US President Bush (July 15): "In my judgment, the best way to stop the violence is to understand why the violence occurred in the first place. And that's because Hizbullah has been launching rocket attacks out of Lebanon into Israel, and because Hizbullah captured two Israeli soldiers. That's why we have violence. And the best way to stop the violence is for Hizbullah to lay down its arms, and to stop attacking. And, therefore, I call upon Syria to exert influence over Hizbullah."

1. Well that explains why Israel attacked the Lebanese, not Hezballah.
No, wait ... No it doesn't.

2. Israel IS attacking Hizbullah
They even spread fliers all through the area they are going to shell the day before warning civilians that they need to leave. If Mexican guerillas kidnapped US soldiers and was shelling our southern states, don't you think the US would attack Mexico? They would try not to kill civilians and they would try not to bring down the country, but they would proceed to eliminate the guerrilla faction. Lebanon is being held hostage by Hisbullah and they have been for years. Hizbullah is the most powerful terrorist organization in the middle east, funded by Iran oil money and supported and protected by Iran and Syria.

Israel is using smart bombs right?

<snip>

Nebham Razaq Hamed, a 22-year-old Lebanese student, said the situation in southern Beirut was horrific.

"The bombing at night was continuous and has continued today, they are using warplanes and sometimes artillery," he told IPS at the border. "Everybody is in panic because of the haphazard bombing which is killing so many civilians now. The Israelis are terrorizing the people intentionally by not discriminating between fighters and civilians."

"This is an act of terrorism," said Rashid Khalaf, a 27-year-old carpenter carrying his belongings in a large sack. "The Israelis are bombing everywhere in the south, including much of Beirut now. I saw the killing and destruction by the Israelis, they are bombing everywhere they think the Hezbollah may be."

Fifty-five-year-old Sheiboub Azem from Saudi Arabia who was in the mountains above Beirut on vacation with his family told IPS "there was bombing and fire everywhere in Beirut before we left."

Azem said: "We watched from the balcony as they started bombing heavily at 3.45 am last night, and we lost our electricity and water. The Israelis must be bombing the water and electricity outlets."

then there were the two families fleeing in vans after those cute fliers and their vans were blown up incinerating 15 children, er I mean terrrorists.

4. I guess these gals couldn't read the fliers

Doaa, 7, right, wounded during an Israeli airstrike and rescued from the rubble of her destroyed family house in the southern Lebanese village of Ebba, meets with her two-year-old sister Batoul at the hospital in the village of Toul, Sunday July 16, 2006. Israeli airstrikes reduced entire apartment buildings to rubble and knocked out electricity in swaths of the Lebanese capital Beirut Sunday, and Israel dramatically escalated the ferocity of its campaign after Hezbollah rockets hit the northern Israeli portcity of Haifa. 5. Israel has been unleashed to counter the N.Korean situation
Edited on Sun Jul-16-06 10:02 AM by teryang
The US has a willing crazy proxy at the other end of the continent with nuclear weapons. This is probably why the Chinese caved on the UN resolution against N.Korea. Will they cave on Iran as well?

This is the worst sort of brinkmanship. We are very close to general war. What most Americans don't realize is that we are totally unprepared for it.
