Seriously, how many do think are your vicious "freeper" types in contrast to merely having voted for Bush? I say it's low, less than 5%. Foxnews and other right wing media vehicles merely shine a spotlight on them making them quasi-mainstream.

3. About 30%
Based on Alan Keyes getting 27% of the vote against Barack Obama in the Illinois Senate Race. Keyes didn't even have familty to vote for him in Illinois, had no platform aside from christian renewal, and campaigned entirely in churches, and was running against a likeable guy.

In a state that went about sixty percent Kerry.

Given how little Keyes has to offer, I consider his vote to be the irreducible troglodyte segment of US society.

4. I'd say 5% is about right
Considering the combined total of Faux News and RW radio's share of the audience. Sometimes it seems like more to me b/c they are overwhelmingly white and male, which describes most of my co-workers. The rest are either woefully uninformed and thus respond to easily digestible soundbites or they attend the United Church of Republican Jesus where they hear propaganda from their pastor. Who wouldn't lie to them, of course. :eyes:

6. Bush's Base
My guess is 30%. Its that base that will never turn on him or the GOP. Fox gives them the "news" the way they want hear it. To see things any other way is just to frightening. To realize they been conned, by a man they think is almost god-like, would shake them to their very souls.

7. I'd put it at 7 to 10%
It's a very low number. It doesn't take a large percentage of a big population to get good regular ratings numbers. Many of the people watching do so for monitoring/simple-fits-of-hilarity purposes.
