Relatives of Montreal family killed in Israeli raids demand inquiry
MONTREAL (CP) - Grieving relatives of a Montreal family killed in an Israeli air strike in Lebanon say the Canadian government must hold Israel responsible for what they call a civilian "massacre."

"I lost my brother, I lost my sister, my nephew, the family of my nephew, my aunt, my uncle. Oh God," said Hussain El-Akras.

"I'm frustrated, I'm angry. I can't sleep. I can't eat."

Foreign Affairs said Monday that seven Canadians died in Sunday's air strikes but the Al-Akhrass family said at least eight of their relatives, and possibly nine, had lost their lives in the attacks.

"We want justice," said Hassan El-Akras, whose father Ali was killed in the village of Aitraroun, 50 kilometres south of Beirut near the Israeli border.

3. Reckless endangerment?
Edited on Mon Jul-17-06 07:29 PM by Canuckistanian
Depraved indifference to human life? Negligent homicide? Serial murder?

If Israel were an individual, any of these charges could apply. German officials were individually charged back in WWII, why not Israelis today?

5. I recall, a year ago, an Iranian born Canadian Journalist was killed
in Iran....at the time the Canadian government called in the Iranian ambassador to explain the killing, and made a pig sting about it....it was all over the papers, and on television. Now let us see how the Canadian government responds to this time around by the killing of nine Canadian of the same family...including four Canadian children at the ages of; four, six, eight, and ten years old.
