1. When there is action following words
Then it will be a great day. Talk is cheap.

2. I'm proud of ALL Democrats today
And I don't give a flying rat's ass how long they have been a Democrat either. In fact, I may be even more proud of all Democrats who used to be Republicans!

11. Thank you... I appreciate that greatly.
Though I was a Republican when I was very young and very dumb. Funny -- joining the Army changed that. :)

5. It's also about "Us" - Really. That's why it's also, at least potentially
, "bi-partisan" - "Us" - whatever that turns out to empirically mean for Red States and Blue States.

America is being called to assume mature responsibility for its own Identity and not delegate that to "Father"-State.

6. I was depressed, fearful and disappointed only two days ago
Now, I'm psyched again. I think I can continue the fight with inspiring words by a great statesman and other Dems standing up and fighting. In fact I'm so inspired I've made reservations for the march on DC February 4th. I can't wait, It's been awhile since I've been on a protest march but I think these old legs will still carry me. I hope some of these Dems show up to fight with us. See you there! :bounce:

8. By the looks of the bi-partisan crowd who gave Gore a standing ovation
We may just have some Repubs in our corner these days too!

15. One thing that may be affecting a chance for bi-partisanship . . . .
People don't know that many of those of us who were first to listen to Howard Dean were responding to Dean's genuine financial Conservatism, especially in his track record for balanced budgets in his state. Yeah Vermont IS small, but what he did there was real a priori proof of his rational fiscal motivations - money is one of the highest priorities for many of us, Blue and Red.

9. I gotta miss the march
I will be up on the hill getting ready to lobby for parkinsons and stem cell. I still will be fighting I guess. I am just sad that I can't go.

14. Very true....perhaps Democrats are starting to find their collective voice
I think Hackett has shown how easy it is to puncture the veneer of Republican "outrage". Fire back and keep firing. Don't let them have the last word. Make them defend their record of criminal incompetence.

I think we are seeing the political endgame getting underway...
