1. Rwanda killed 500000 in first 3 weeks, 800000 in 5 weeks -then its over
too fast for UN response.

But we knew about the killing after 2 weeks and could have stopped the last half million from being killed - Clinton says his decision to not have the US intervene was the worst, and most shameful, of his presidency. He has said this, and apologized to everyone, many times since it happened.

But you are correct as to speed of response - a ship to the rescue of US citizens has occurred much faster than the 5 week non-response to Rwanda - a time when any response would have meant 10's of thousands of lives saved.
