is shocked and rebuffs him soundly. So technically I guess it is not harassment (it is a judgement call, though) unless he does it again. At the least it was boorish and he should apologize profusely. In the federal government he probably would have had to go to sexual harassment training and would likely have gotten a letter in his file if anyone (not just the woman involved) had filed an EEO complaint.

End of story. Not another comment, subject dropped. I'm trying to get in pretending I am a Bush supporter who was offended by his behavior, but I know they'll never let me on. Tony Snow must have asked them to spin it quick and then drop it.

My guess is that Snow is just hoping this goes away quickly. This is a trifecta for Democrats - It pisses off all liberals, it pisses off independent women, and it pisses off conservative women.

Because it seemed to me that Merkel was not at all amused with Bush's apparent obsession with the menu. The way she rebuffs him suggests more than just surprise - it suggests more of "The asshole is actually touching me!" Or am I reading too much into it?
