ALERT! If Possible Please Either WATCH or Link To Democracy Now!
report today. Reports from Robert Fisk and the information about Hillary Clinton are VERY VERY revealing!

I'm sorry for all of you who support Hillary, but this time.... IMHO she REALLY blew it!! Many in NYC protesting what Israel is doing to Lebanon.

Granted Syria & Iran most likely and I think actually have a hand in ALL of this... but then I say Israel should have attacked THEM not Lebanon!! I think I finally figured out what had been bothering me about this whole fiasco. What Democracy Now reported yesterday AND today has left me thinking that WE here in America are DUPES! Essentially what Robert Fisk states is that had it not been for Israel and it's policies, Hezbollah would never have been created.

And our so very STUPID IDIOTIC WH minions have done NOTHING but fuel the fire, and I dare say The Congress too!

Anyway... Amy Goodman and her guests can explain it MUCH better than I have, but I do find it a bit strange seeing a Jewish woman protesting in NY AGAINST what she says is Israel's open warfare on innocent people! I saw and heard her say it and it make me wonder how many OTHER JEWISH people feel the same.

Me? I'm not Jewish, Arab, Muslim, Christian or anything, simply more spiritual and what I see makes me more likely to think sort of "agnostic" thoughts, even though many who know me don't think I am one. Who knows? What I'm seeing is death and killing and I know I don't like ANY of it. Color me PACIFIST perhaps!

4. Robert Fisk - what you won't hear on US MSM
http://www.democracynow.org/article.pl?sid=06/07/19/1345257

ROBERT FISK: What's happening is obviously the mass punishment of a whole people, the Lebanese, in response to the capture of two Israeli soldiers and the killing of three others on Wednesday of last week. The death toll now has just topped 240 in the last few minutes. We've -- almost all of the Lebanese dead are civilians, of course, as usual. The Americans, in the usual pusillanimous way of Mr. Bush, are doing nothing to prevent this from taking place.

It amazes me -- I mean, living here in Beirut, as I have for 30 years. Here are the Lebanese people, sophisticated, educated, cosmopolitan, people who don't look like the Arab world, they look like us; I mean, people who could be quite at home on the streets of Paris or New York and London, and some of them are; people who read, who are very well educated; people who speak English fluently, French beautifully, and fluent Arabic, as well, of course; and who, when they die in such large numbers, the best we can produce is a call for restraint by the State Department and a claim by the British, our own dear Tony Blair, that the Israelis are using disproportionate force.

The exchange rate for neutral slaughter between Israel and here at the moment is now 1 to 10. 24 Israelis – I think 25 now -- to 242 Lebanese, many of whom, as I say, most of whom, but a far larger proportion of civilians. Many Beirut people were very moved Saturday when the Lebanese Beirut newspapers carried a very, very tragic picture of a young girl, a little girl -- must have been 4 or 5 years old -- near a place called Ter Hafra, lying dead in a field in her blue pajamas, looking, as I said in my newspaper, very similar to that terrifying picture from Poland in 1939 of a little Polish girl lying dead with her weeping sister beside her.

I did receive a phone call today from an Israeli woman living in the East Coast of the United States, who said she thought that what was being done to the Lebanese was unforgivable. I thought she was a very generous and good woman, saying she prayed for the Lebanese people and the Palestinians, and for the Israelis, of course.

10. Thanks for this

it's almost comical reading this and listening to Bush discussing morality and ethics as be vetoes stem cell research, while sanctioning and participating in the murder of civilians across the planet.

How dumb are the people of this planet.

13. Fascism Was Something I've Talked & Thought About In Rather
abstract terms, just as so many of us have here at DU. Now I'm beginning to think there is some form of it actually happening in reality. Perhaps not "hard core" but one thing for sure.... it's NOT Democracy!

It's simply appalling why we keep letting this stuff go on... we really MUST take to the streets and demand answers if not outright retribution from these so called leaders running this country. What fear I've had for so long is turning into outright FRIGHT!

Not having lived during WWII I can't relate to that feeling, but as a Boomer I understand death and killing that is meaningless. I feel differently about what is happening than what I felt during Viet Nam. This has so much potential to spill over and push some country to "hit some button!"

And The Idiot worries about "moral values" regarding stem cell research when he's nothing but a murderer himself!

14. Watch her show every day, amazing
You get a totally different perspective. I also watch German news, Mosiac, BBC News and I cannot believe the difference in the coverage. It is like two different worlds. It is two different worlds.

I loved the interview with Assad, the Syrian President, who happens to speak better English than our president.

15. Goodman and Fisk - two fearless, brilliant journalists
...and both very dedicated and excellent at their jobs. We're lucky to have people like them telling us what's really going on in the world.
