Free Tickets to an Inconvenient Truth - If you're a Christian?
Very weird. I got this in an email solicitation sent to Texas Democrats List. I was curious about the free tickets for such an important movie so I went to

http://inconvenientchristians.org/

The key to getting the free tickets is: "Check the three boxes on this link and provide us with your name and contact information. "

and followed the link to http://inconvenientchristians.org/tickets where the form has three boxes that must be checked:

# I am a committed Bible-believing Christian. *
# I agree to attend the movie An Inconvenient Truth using the tickets provided. *
# I agree to return to this site after seeing the film and offer my opinion. *

1. Someone posted this site a couple weeks ago and I thought it sounded fishy
......and it still sounds fishy..... Probabally some right wing trick to get people to put on some sort of loonie mailing lists or something.

2. Well, the Bible-believing part is conservative, but there are
conservative evangelical groups that are very pro-environment. And fi they are trying to bring more theologically so-inclined ppl who don't acre about the earth into their fold, I can live with that. Anything to save the earht at this point.

Peace.

3. You are just putting your name on a bunch of mailing lists
in exchange for tickets to a movie. They chose that movie, because people that are probably NOT already on their mailing lists might be interested in that movie,,

6. That's what I figure
I didn't sign up. I don't qualify as a Bible Believing Christian anyway.

4. Looks like Treehugger xtains to me
This website gos to http://restoringeden.org/, a fundie evangelical envirogroup.

IMO, this is a good thing to try to bring in the fundies to see An Inconvienient Truth. These are the very people who deny that there is such a thing, or that humans are causing it.

5. Trolling for new names to add to their mailing lists.
They'll recover the money when they sell the lists to third parties.

I'd rather pay for my movie tickets.
