15. The plume will have only one feather in January 2009, methinks.
I'm hoping/praying for an inmate number on a plaque hanging from the helmet before then - without much optimism.

5. Points taken. Artistic License, I would say...
Dialogue needs a snicker or smurk or two, as well.

How long has Trudeau used an asterisk?

11. A long time. I'm thinking since the 2000 election, but don't quote me it.

12. I think the concept was that he was going to be an asterisk in history
Sort of an afterthought, not really having a legacg of his own just an asterisk mention from his father's legacy.

13. The asterisk was for the foot note
that would talk about the fact that many thought he stole or was handed the office, not that he was elected. It would say that he was the first to have a full four year term, never having been vp (and getting it because of the death of the duly elected President) or being clearly elected.

14. He got his second historical asterisk in 2004
when the election results were challenged by the House. In the historical record, * does not have a clean win for either election. I love it that Trudeau continually reminds people of that.

16. I might point out that an asterisk also bears a
striking apeparance to an, um, a**hole.
