CNN This Sunday AM
Edited on Sun Jul-23-06 06:31 AM by PCIntern
they have this really cute graphic visual effect of a helicopter taking off from Lebanon and landing in Cyprus, on a tiny map. The Helicopter even makes a little maneuver like a curlique before it lands. Really neat-o!!!

They have Barbara Starr asking incisive questions of a field commander: "Can the Army do the job?" He replied, "I think you know the answer to that question." She's all dressed in her blue pants suit in the wilderness. Pretty goofy.

This anchor they have next to Betty Nguyen is tolerable...they should keep him and get rid of Tony. OR send him to Baghdad on assignment.

One thing about CNN: In case youd didn't know that Patti Labelle has diabetes, you do now. That's the one ad that runs 24/7. she happens to live down the street from me here in Philly suburbia, and has quite the home behind huge iron bars. It's up for sale, BTW.

...and those HEAD-ON ads and FREEDOM Hemorrhoid cream ads: they repeat "Apply directly to the forehead" six times - the headache remedy, that is. RWers have been confusing their heads with their butts for years...which product goes where?

3. OMG! Patty Labelle has diabetes?!
You can apply a lotion to your forehead and get rid of a headache?!!!!! Well, I guess I've read my share of international news for the day.

4. infotainment...
hard to tell the difference between the ads and the 'news'. however, the ads have better content, are scripted well, and have a point to them which is easily understandable.

5. LOL - I don't think they've ever said what "Head-On" is for.
Are you sure it's headaches? Maybe it's to eradicate forehead zits. I agree with you entirely about CNN. They can lose Tony and Betty any time. You know who I miss? Leon Harris. He was the only news reader on that network I've ever liked.

6. Leon Harris
was a lighting stand-in for Bernie Shaw...he started reading the copy and they liked him and gave him a job.

He was a reasonable fellow...

8. It worked, didn't it?
You may, at this time, feel you wouldn't buy it...but at some point, you or soemone who asks you to recommend something for a headache would at least mention it.

I agree with you about the ad tho...
