Do you KNOW anyone who actually BOUGHT a book by Coulter, Savage, or
even O'Reilly?
I DO know someone who went to a Hannity book signing. And I certainly know some Limbaugh admirers, so I don't doubt some of THEM have bought HIS books.
The RW blowhards I know mostly like people like Coulter because she is obnoxious and against liberals. They just like the obnoxious, hate-filled venomous personal style. They LIKE that people like this are unapologetic jerks. It has nothing to do with any merits of any arguments. But I don't know anyone who actually has a book.
2. having done my little bit by covering up all of the latest garbage from
the coultergeist, I noticed today that there is not one single copy of the book in the supermarket (sorry, haven't been to the bookstore in two weeks!!)
13. I always cover her books up too, although I fully cover them.
I put a liberal book, or just any random book nearby, over her's. I know it's wrong to block the freedom of speech of others, but she's just such a asshole.
4. I know someone who listens to Limbaugh all the time
I used to have to ride with him.
He was not an unpleasant person, actually. He just believed all the free market conservative kind of things. Is not religious, at least not in the fundie manner.
I actually read one of Rush Limbaugh's books in a fit of openmindedness. It was really rather boring.
6. I was on a cruise once and saw that someone had one of Coulter's
books on a table. They were not their at the time (in the pool maybe?) but I stayed in the area a while to see who it was that was reading that crap on a relaxing cruise but they never showed up. I couldn't believe it. Actually, on that same cruise I brought my Clinton "My Life" book but didn't get around to reading it.:)
11. I saw Coulter's latest in my grandfather's study
I always knew he was a fundie, but I really didn't think he'd go for such hateful crap. I got out of there as fast as I could, because I actually needed to cry, and did once I got in my car.
16. No, but today at the dollar store, I saw Karen Hughes' latest book.
Dozens of copies. Doesn't look like they are even moving there. :) I seriously considered buying one for the fun of tearing the pages out one by one and using them to start my fireplace. Until it dawned on me that I live in a boat on a tropical island and don't own a fireplace. So regretfully I ditched that plan. Besides, I really don't want even the sixteen year old gum chewing sales clerk to think that I am actually buying something that tacky.
Who lives out in the country. He is awaiting the revolution - when blacks rise up and start killing whites. He has his arsenal of weapons in a large safe, awaiting the glorious day when he can "shoot ni**ers." He has two books on his coffee table. One is "Treason," and the other "Godless."
