10 years from now
there will be few people in America who will ever admit they voted for The Chimp- TWICE - and fewer still who will admit to supporting his crazy policies.

Among such people, will be the neighbour who won't talk to you today because you have an anti-Bush sticker in your car, or the boss who cold shoulders you because you wore a "Bush is a terrorist" tee shirt to work, or the relative who stopped sending you cards because of the argument you had with him/her about The Chimp's lies on Iraq...

10 years from now, these people will claim that they had seen through The Chimp all the time. But YOU must never let them forget that they were the enablers, they were the sheep that allowed the horrors engulfing America and the world to come to fruit.

This is just a thought I had this morning, and I thought I'd tell you all about it.

1. Oh, I am certain he will go down in history as clearly one of the worst
if not the absolute worst President in US History.

Certain.

3. Ten years from now

There will be no doubt in anybody's mind that Global Warming is a real thing caused by the activities of mankind. The tragedies and outright catastrophes that were a result of decades of ignoring the evidence will be horrible. The people in power will exclaim, "How could have we known?" Disease, famin, horrible illnesses, global crop failures, rampant death in the cities, and huge natural disasters--mostly storms of unprecedented size. Nobody will know about all this since the following changes will also happen.

The political system in the US will be hopelessly entangled with corporate power, even more so than today. Candidates will no longer pay even lip service to representing people. The media conglomerates will own and operate all their own candidates.

Media, especially television will no longer even pretend to offer information, but will spew rubbish entertainment 24/7 on all channels. Commercials will be prevalent but one won't know it because even the so-called entertainment will be so full of product placements that it won't make any difference. The level of intellect in the programming will make the most crass reality programs of today look like BBC Horizon.

"Newspapers" will be surrogates for the media empires which produce endless CGI generated "movies" with headlines about the so-called "stars" who, since all acting will be CGI generated, can't act, and are selected exclusively for their sexual attractiveness. The content of the Net-based newspapers will be solely what we would call entertainment news, endless sensationalistic "missing white blonde" reports, and fundementalist religion. Absolutely no foreign affairs, no science, no intelligent discourse, and absolutely nothing about the huge catastrophes brought on by total and global environmental collapse.

All this cheap entertainment will be offered on the newest generation of the Internet which will be operated by the same media conglomerates which operate the newspapers, cable TV, radio, and virtually every other information outlet. When the later versions of DNS are adopted, complete control of Net content will be in the hands of the three corporate media companies. Of course, there will be the next decades version of blogs, but the content will be just more pop culture and other rubbish.

Fundementalist religion will have long since merged interests with the big media conglomerates. Any media content that is not taken up by pop culture and rubbish reality will be filled with the sleaziest of fundementalism. If you think Benny Hinn and Robert Tilton are corrupt, wacked-out lunatics, you haven't seen anything yet.

One of the biggest draws on TV will be the fundie game show, "Heal Me Now" which has contestants vying for a chance to have grevious illnesses and afflictions brought on by the ever present environmental disaster. Of course, healing will all be cleverly faked, but that won't stop the ignorant millions from competing to land a spot on the contestant panel. Praise the Lord.

Etc...

Had enough? I'd just like people to know what's in store if we don't take this country back.
