Idiot Glenn Beck Last PM On CA Blackouts
I was travelling yesterday and was stuck in a hotel room with limited TV choices, so I caught part of this idiot's show. He had some
female idiot from CNBC doing a segment on the blackouts in CA. Beck's solution? "Alright, CA, time to build some refineries
and nuclear plants!"

Asshole.

The blackouts we're experiencing have nothing to do with a lack of energy. They have to do with the antiquated power grid
that electricity flows through. The blackouts are being caused by equipment failures - transformers exploding, wires
burning up, etc - from the load being put on them by demand. CA has - in fact - been buying energy from neighboring
states to meet any spot demand issues. In general, CA has more than enough energy available to meet demand.

CA needs to update it's grid components...and we don't need a single refinery or nuke plant to do it.

Beck - another uninformed asshole.

2. that asshole is one of the reasons I always try to bring a book with
me wherever I go...especially when I'm travelling

He is uniformly unwatchable....I'd sooner watch Ann Coulter. at least she's not a total idiot.

I'd give anything to be privvy to the decision making process involved in hiring that creature. Out of ALL the possible hosts in the country, they chose HIM? what on earth were they thinking? especially given his track record of truly repugnant outbursts. I can't wait for his dismal numbers to force them to do a Michael Savage on him.

Good riddance

3. Nuclear plants? Fuck no!
Not in my state, damn it! There's already enough things in this state that can kill you - the pollution, the traffic, road rage, gang bangers... we dont need to add nuclear radiation to the list!

Hey Glenn Beck, I've got two words for you: fuck off.

4. It was primarily...
...from the intense heat over the couple of weeks. It was between 110 and 114 for twelve days straight at my place in Northern California near Napa. The transformers couldn't take the heat and the load was high due to air conditioning demands.

But then, Global Warming is a myth as well to a good old Con like Glenny Boy...

5. What CA needs is a few million less people.
Especially here in SoCal where the urban sprawl extends into the desert in all directions.

Houses are totally unaffordable as prices go up, up, up. Housing tracts going up all over the place. Shopping centers with WalMarts, etc. Bumper-to-bumper traffic jams at any and all hours of thd day or night.

It's totally wretched, all of it.

6. Um
Is he suggesting that it's a good idea to build a nuclear power plant on one of the world's most seismically unstable areas? Because that's a really bad idea
