Isn't Peak Oil The Answer To Global Warming?
No more oil. Less and less CO2 emissions. No more global warming. Right?

1. Well, there is a 'race' of sorts going on between the two...
...but the punch line is, even if we ran completely out of petroleum (which we won't for some time), there's still enough coal left to burn to turn Earth into Venus, so Global Warming is likely to win out in the end.

So we lose, I guess.

2. Yes, but...

4. No, But It's An Excuse To Kill Off 4 Billion Humans
The "powers that be" obviously expect the terrible "die-off" and "demand destruction" to save their butts.

5. No. It could get worse
Research following the airline stand-down on 9/11 and following days showed that the atmosphere is currently cooler than normal. This is due to the concentration of particles in the upper atmosphere caused by jet engine exhaust.

When the majority of air traffic was grounded, the earth's temperature began to rapidly warm.

6. Yep. So here's the deal:
First civilization as we know it ends, causing untold death and suffering and chaos. THEN the survivors burn up or starve or die of dehydration.

No wonder the fundies are so fervently hoping for the Rapture.
