This army unit is training to see if they will break under POW conditions. I wonder how close this show is to reality. Has anyone seen it?

2. I just happened to turn it on and was intrigued because of all the
talk about torture.

What bothers me is how psychologically brutal it is. The psychologist at the head of it (improbably female, but I'll pass on comment) is claiming that these methods are necessary because of the "new way of warfare" in Afghanistan.

3. Actually, I saw that and how the Military took the newest guy, who
had the flu and tortured him, to get the others to relinquish their info., and it showed the mostwrong headed-ness of the Pentagon.

That was not a pro-military piece, it was the opposite and anyone who didn't get the message is dense. If, anyone had watched the previous pieces, Browne, (correct me if I am wrong), saved his groups collective ass with the Iranian-Russia scenario (but the USA does not come out smelling like a rose (garlic)), that is how the left keeps missing the point! The point was not the aggrandized efforts the US Military makes (most would not want acknowledgment) but the struggles of the families thrown into these, now more than ever, stupid campaigns.

4. I agree with your take on the show
You can also see the different rivalries in the different parts of the military and government entities.

I happen to think it is a really well done show.

5. Looks like Browne actually saves them on this one too
Uses his position to get them makeshift equipment.

They survive the torture school but there doesn't seem to be much pride in it.

6. Ahhh SERE school. Just ask any aviator about the one training
class they never ever want to take again.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SERE and Google are places to start.
