In pictures: 'Negro' baseball stars honoured (BBC)
Baseball was segregated until 1947 - and nearly 60 years later, the Hall of Fame has specially admitted 17 outstanding African-Americans, including power hitter "Mule" Suttles.

Remind your kids that their parents or grandparents grew up in a society where segregation was, for many people, just taken for granted. "Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it."
