Israel need to be loudly condemned for this blitzkrieg.
I heard one of our congress people say last week (a Dem to boot) that they would stand behind Irael because it is our policy and we have treaties. Well, policies and treaties can and should be changed sometimes.

1. "blitzkriegs" were invented by NAZIS!
Has Israel come full circle now? Have they become what they feared and hated so much 60 years ago?

"NEVER AGAIN" my ass!

20. Heinz Guderian was better off than today's officers in this country.
At least his boss wasn't a deserter!

2. Until Americans shut down
the country and take to the streets Bushco will continue to get away with murder. Who in the world can feel safe when both US parties side with these butchers.

3. WORLD REACTIONS: U.K. brands Qana deaths 'quite appalling'
The following is a round-up of world reactions to the Qana deaths.

BRITISH FOREIGN SECRETARY MARGARET BECKETT:

"It's absolutely dreadful, it's quite appalling. Undoubtedly today's events will make things worse at least in the short term," she told Sky News. "We have repeatedly urged Israel to act proportionately."

JORDAN'S KING ABDULLAH II:

"This criminal aggression is an ugly crime that has been committed by the Israeli forces in the city of Qana that is a gross violation of all international statutes."

FRENCH PRESIDENT JACQUES CHIRAC:

"France condemns this unjustified action which demonstrates more than ever the need for an immediate ceasefire without which there will only be other such incidents." Chriac's office said in a statement."

IRANIAN FOREIGN MINISTRY SPOKESMAN HAMID REZA ASEFI:

"The Qana bombing is the outcome of (U.S. Secretary State Condoleezza) Rice's trip to the region. Some American officials should be put on trial for the crimes in Lebanon," the official IRNA news agency quoted Asefi as saying."

4. I keep hoping
in vain that my Senators and rep, will say something, anything, condemning Israel's bombing of Lebanon. None of them are indebted to AIPAC. The only reason I can come up with that none of them have said anything is that it's a dem party policy to stay unified in support of Israel. I'm disgusted at this refusal to break ranks.

8. Write or call your members of congress
I did. It's the very very least you can do.

Take the 30 seconds it takes to post on DU and fire off an email to your Senator.

I can find no reference to who this organization is run by. I'd like to know. I've read through some of the stuff on the site.

11. uh, what treaties?
i don't know of any the US has signed with Israel that provide for US to militarily defend them, every time they instigate a war. I believe Scott Ritter, Ray McGovern and others always make this point (the absence of treaties between the US and Israel) in their public appearances, and always comment on the "shock and awe" of audiences that don't know this.
