Time for the Anti-YOYO party? Symbol: A Tree
The GOP has become the YOYO party ---- "You're on your own." We need to counter that before it is too late for the Planet. We need a new New Deal program for the Earth's environment...."New Green Deal"? Anyway: Plank one for the platform.....

Plant trees in every open space possible between the Mississippi and the Eastern Shore. Good bye lawns.....hello shade. Sorry but good bye grassy parks.....hello forest parks. The trees will tie up CO2 and cool down shaded surfaces. Fruit trees will provide food for people and animals. Lots of gasoline will not be used for mowing, etc. Many can be put to work growing seedlings, planting seedlings, tending forests, etc. Squirrels and other creatures will help out by doing what they do, etc.

This is just one plank. Other planks will put millions to work at jobs that will save the planet and support people. The government will be called upon to subsidize. People will be called upon to scale down their wants but, in the end, survive. The time is now! Anti-YOYOs Unite!

1. great post-its the environment stupid
I am so tired of mother nature being on the back burner even for many liberals....
This is no longer a moral issue...its a survival issue by now. We can no longer afford to ignore the havoc we are wrecking on this planet...

When will we get it?

2. When, indeed? Will it be too late to save billions? We WILL
change. Will we choose to do so and have a SOFT landing. In other words, survive? I would hope the Democratic Party could lead the charge. But are they too much in the corporate pocket? We need someone to stand up and say what needs to be said. Al Gore has set a good example but his example needs to be duplicated. Even Tom Brokaw seems to "get it" when it comes to climate change. Others must follow. Mr. Buffet and Mr. Gates......jump into the fray and help save the world! Get some air time and get the message to the overworked masses that they need to get off their consuming asses and look to the future of the planet. That would be a great start.
