CNN's Barbara Starr says that Iran will give Hezbollah Chem/Bio Weapons.
Edited on Thu Aug-03-06 10:51 AM by KoKo01
She said she talked with General Abizaid and she says he knows the Middle East better than anyone and he's concerned that Hezbollah has more strength than intelligence estimates have shown and he's concerned that Iran will supply them with Chem/Bio weapons.

So...here we go again. CNN putting Meme out there...to be AFRAID...VERY AFRAID because once again our Intelligence has failed us. "Where have we heard that before?"

On to IRAN...BOMB! KILL! INSTIGATE and DESTABILIZE THE WORLD so that Bush/Cheney/Rummy are not brought up on WAR CRIMES EVER! Just keep digging that hole and causing fear and maybe it will lead to PANIC and we will be so afraid we will just have to vote the Repug Bastards back in so they can FINISH THEIR JOB. :nuke:

has played itself out. The people are numb, the economy is going into the crapper for the working and middle class families.

People are not going to sign up for a new war.

Get out of the back-blast area because when the tide changes, it's going to GET REAL INTERESTING. :scared:

4. Barbara Starr is a millitary groupie.
She just can't have enough of people in uniform talking tough. Never occurs to her that they might be using her. Can we say "Judy Miller" now?

6. Barbara Starr WHORES for Bush administration on September 2, 2002 on Iraq:
Edited on Thu Aug-03-06 10:55 AM by jackstraw45
She's a WHORE for the Bush administration. take a look at this "report" from 2002:

http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0209/02/ltm.12.html

"Well, you know, for the last year the Pentagon's been driven by 9/11. And as the war on terrorism enters its second year, they seem to now be very consumed by Iraq, by Saddam Hussein's chemical and biological weapons. So we're going to start by taking a look at that this morning, whether those weapons could fall into the hands of the al Qaeda, what the U.S. might do about targeting them."

7. This Is Nonesense, Ma'am
It is certainly not going to occur, and this creature is a fool and a shill and a panic-monger for pretending it is even a serious possibility.

11. It only matters if people can be scared into thinking it will occur
As it was proven with Iraq and WMD.

16. Let us hope so.
I'm not concerned with the people being fooled because I do believe the tide has turned. What worries me is our less than brilliant legislators, who will obligingly parrot any line taught to them and the vote for more war to try to look tough and consisten.

24. I hope you are correct
But I fear it may occur again. The current news coverage does not encourage me or give me hope that Americans are becoming more critical about these issues.

I imagine this story will be one more in the long string of stories beating the drum for wider war...

Edited on Thu Aug-03-06 11:06 AM by KoKo01
if you read my post you would see that I was pointing out that Starr is putting out this information to drive fear and panic in the minds of Americans who are not so well informed as those of us here.

I wish you had read past the subject line. ;-)'s a fault many of us share in common these days...reading too quickly and judging from the quick read of a subject line.

9. I'm no fan of Iran or Hezbollah.
but the hypocrisy here is stunning. The US supplies Israel with enough weapons (and nuclear technology) to wipe the Middle East off the map, but then tries to frighten us with the idea the the other side might have weapons, too.

I support Israel's right to exist, it was a bad idea from the start, but they're there now so let them be. However, to support this insane mass murder the way the US is currently doing, makes us nothing better than accomplices.

21. This is a misconception, I think.
I'm not familiar with the US knowingly providing Israel with the technology to build nuclear weapons. I don't think they've done anything to stop them from doing it, though.

I couldn't quickly find any reputable source disagreeing with your statement so I'll rescind that part of my post. Now, if anyone with more time and energy wants to dig something up, I'd love to rescind my rescission (or something like that). :P

The U.S. was upset about it back in the Kennedy/Johnson days, but came to accept it by the Nixon era. At least that's my reading of it.

28. Do CNN's military/Pentagon reporters ever question what they're told?
It seems as though they parrot every line they're fed.. without taking into consideration how untrue, or political in nature, or fearmongeringly insane, it is.

I still remember when Kelli Arena told us that Osama bin Laden wanted John Kerry to win the 2004 election. She was REPORTING this to the American people; not ranting it to Rush Limbaugh's audience. Of course, she's still comfortably on CNN's payroll.
