Poll question: Are we, as Tweety says, in our parents' basements?
Chris Matthews said of the CT primary that bloggers need to get out of their parents' basements and join the grown-ups. But I doubt most of us on this site spend a lot of time in our parents' basements. This isn't Libertarian Underground, after all.

So, DUers, when were you last in your parents' basement? :)

7. I'm where all good liberals are
And that's not in my parents' basement.

I'm in line at the methadone clinic waiting for my government fix while I use my wireless laptop that I got by suing hardworking small business Republicans for frivolous reasons.

I'm switching between DU and lists of family farmers I hope to hit hard with the "death tax" so that more services can be provided to me without my lifting another finger. I'm also contemplating suing the government to give me my welfare checks at a time more conducive to my crack dealer's supply schedule--I think I definitely have something with the mental anguish angle on this one.

Why do you ask?

I was indeed in my parents basement yesterday. I was looking for a lightbulb so I could do some work in their garage. Of course at the end of the day I went home to MY own place with my own basement. But I certainly was in my folks basement and GARAGE yesterday.

27. No to basement but, as for the jammies
he's talked about. Well, I have to admit that I have posted while sitting in my equivalent of pajamas. However, the posting was done in my own home.

I admit that I have used the internet while sitting in a basement in my pajamas but that was in the mid-90's. I was a student and had a basement apartment. At that time I also had a computer and I had an internet account. To make matters worse, I also played marathon video game sessions while I lived in the basement. I was an internet surfing-gamer-student with an interest in the world.

I've always been a registered member of the Democratic party. I also leave my computer behind and get out and work for candidates I want to win. Always have, always will.

Maybe Tweetty ought to try to get out of his little bubble and realize that not all the people who use the internet to talk to others about politics are like his freeper buddies.

31. I have my own basement now, thank you very much!
And a damn nice one too, if I do say so myself. Nice, comfy den area, complete with an HD TV, surround sound 7.1 stereo, games, recliner, and other amenities. And it sits on twenty acres of my own land too. Heck, my mom doesn't even have basement where she lives now, and my father is long since gone.

Typical RW bullshit spin, and more than likely more than a touch of projection going on there. I know a fair number of neo-con fools, and it seems like a good twenty five percent or more are still living with their parents well into their thirties and forties. And yes, some do indeed live in the basement.

Basement has a nice wet bar, color tv, full bath, workout room, separate office, walk-out to patio and back yard is national park for the next 10 miles. It sleeps 6 easily and we are known to host out of town Democratic campaign workers.

My parents died over 30 years ago, I'd move heaven and earth if I could go sit in their basement with them again.

35. Not fit for human habitation
I was last in my parents' basement in 2004. My parents are both dead--my sisters and I were preparing the house to be sold. This is an old farmhouse basement with only a dirt floor in half the space. My sisters were too chicken to go down there, so I went down to clean up some of the moldy mess.

No one, of any age, would ever live in THAT basement!
